are there any other terriers from years ago that had the same reputation as a producer???
-
i just been having a flick throo the old sparticus threads, started siring litters at the age of 15 month, im sure it said had done 35 by time it was 2 an a half... the add also stated he was a great producer an all his pup worked if given the chance... are there any terriers out there today that the same can be said of??? or was it just a sales pitch????

Come on. If you can't see the issue with 'teaching' folk, and when doing so, shouting, swearing etc (including down the holes), whilst ferreting . . . . . . Like i said, i got no issue with the bloke himself, it's good hes trying to teach people, and i couldnt give a feck about his size, or the way he looks. You don't have to work a loneorbe 'silent like a cat', just use a little fieldcraft. That doesnt stop you having fun. i see what you are saying, but a lot of peoples criticisms were posted before tug revealed he teaches kids etc and this was intended as a slightly education

listen guys, if you wanna put a vid on youtube you are leaving yaself open for comments, good or bad, get over it, if the guy dont want called fat, tell him to lose weight ffs, if the guy dont want his ameturish ferreting vids commented on then tell him not to make em, or atleast tell him how to do it properly.... i have seen a few videos get pulled apart on here, an umpteen threads, so whos to say its cool to rip darren from tpr, or the guys who are working eu poleys??? after all they coulda just been shown the wrong way to go about things like chunk in the video on this thread...

iv stated before on here that i aint a longnetting purist, i have always had to work alone, i have had a good few bags so far, but i think thats to to do with the abbundance of bunnys rather than me skills lol my lurchers are lamp dogs, an do a bit of ferreting an bushing, but to even consider taking 1 out on a nite with the nets would be madness lol the way i net is like was described earlier on this thread, i prefer to work single burys rather than whole fields, dropping a net infront of 1 instead of them all along the hedges.. i know my land an try an net the burys that hold the most bunn

How come so many people buy in adult dogs?
reddawn replied to skycat's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
i find it wierd aswell, i once brought in a dog of 13 months, nice dog couldnt be faulted but i couldnt bond with him an he was rehomed an is now happy, another time i was left without a lurcher due to my bitch being pts throo illness, a mate of a mate, offered to gee me a whippet, all i could think about was how i never bonded with the last dog i brought in, but i tried the whippet anyways, she worked well, very well infact for a whippet, but alas we never bonded, she was returned after the end of the season an i got myself a pup. id never take on another dog unless it was under 10 weeks old
