  1. they must do wilf the wage bill bit was a bit of a surprise but like you say sponsorship advertising and gates will bring money in but like i said fylde are being run like pro club as are a good few other teams in that league i just couldnt see how teams got a return on the investment they put in but like nash said there does seem to be alot of money being spent so there must be a return thats why i said about grants etc you will know better than me wilf about how much it costs to run a kids team nets kits coaching badges etc does say a sponsor cover the costs or will it be down to the club
  2. i totally agree wilf moyses did away with the school stuff cost cutting excersize apperently we have missed out my mates lad as he signed for liverpool on appentership forms and a few of the other lads in the area have signed for burnley rovers etc i just wondered how such big investment paid of because the incoming surely out weigh the out going but not being in the know i wouldnt like to say tomuch as its not something i really know about
  3. the wage bill was a bit of a eye opener i know about pros and such and you can see the investment being put in at certain clubs like i said nash i have seen a couple of kids that you can tell have had proper coaching and may end up turning pro i will take afc fylde as a example the owner as pumped alot of money in to it built a cracking little ground and got a decent team together they play sheff utd in the fa cup they are now set up like a professinal club scouting academies there even sending coaches out teaching kids during the week are theses clubs given grants etc because surely it ca
  4. i agree nash the quailty now and how clubs are run is certainly on the up i watch a team from the national league north its made up of kids that didnt make it as pros or ex pros the standard is high for what it is and i have seen a few that im sure will play pro soon they just seem to stand out and have so much time on the ball or there postioning just seems nautral i dont know anything about the running costs of theses clubs but im sure the sale of a decent player if he makes pro would help the club massively aspecially with a sell on clause but i can see more and more grass roots investment
  5. there is gnipper theres a real big old fella at ribchester nicked name arthur and like the polish they dont have a close season i believe a few have fallen to road accidents near some to fisheries
  6. ancelotti could be evertons next manager would be a good signing if it comes of i hope he keeps big dunc as just watching his reaction to the two games hes been in charge it just shows how much the club means to him and how the fans react to him
  7. dogs treed a mink on one of my perms next to the river ribble not long back i could of pushed it out but looking at its shiny black coat sat there looking at it and knowing what damage it could do to that cnuts birds on the next farm i couldnt so i let be but one thing i did notice on one farm that always had a few about was when a otter turned up they disappeared
  8. have you forgotten what methven did for you before he was hounded out thats shocking max and i dont see anyone rushing to take donalds place do you
  9. had a wheaton grey at stud in the mid 80s i remeber him and some of the tales lived of levis name if i right
  10. wasnt he the lad that bred borders from levi oaks stuff steve i thought he was chesire way
  11. i bet the list of players hes let go over the years and then have gone on to do good things would be a eye opener i bet
  12. most certainly stiff most likely his best signing yet
  13. so they shot the dog took the lead of while the lad was holding it then carried it to the river and chucked it in whilst the lad just watched and they were drunk and in charge of a fire arm which is a offence in itself and they got of with it
  14. i know archie same as henry at arsenal was it mourino who let him go at chelsea
  15. i saw salahs goal per game today thats some record better than saurez and torres at liverpool what a bargain hes turned out to be klopp does have a good eye for bargain buys
  16. what a result for norwich and bournmouth away at leciester and chelsea young frank having a bit of a blip at the min hes lost 4 out the last 5 prem games but he looking to buy in jan and liverpool just keep on winning
  17. well were was he before you appointed ross and parky by the way did i tell you were 3rd in the league above
  18. what was it methaven said before he quit max the fans expections are to high and we are a league 1 club the cost of running the stadium alone is going to hurt yous its not a case of not listening max its resources and pearson will of wanted assurances about money to spend and you just dont have it thats why you are getting ross parkinson type managers in dont you think if you could afford better donald would of got them
  19. donald cant afford them and i doubt they would go anyway when your parachute payments stop at the end of the season your over heads next season will be massive your season ticket sales will be down if you carry on like this your stuck in a rut max thats why you got parky what was todays atttendance max
  20. decent point today max things might be on the up
  21. i see your getting done at home again max scored by none other than thick should sign him up
  22. all seating killed the atomsphere at most grounds like i said earlier its not for me but i still have a general interest in the game but nothing like it was alot of pubs round here have shut that use to be rammed on match days were you could catch up with old mates but its all but gone now were you could feel the atomsphere and the buzz as you got in the ground but like you say wilf its aimed at familys and money theses days
  23. wont happen max he doesnt fit the team plus he was trouble when he was here a bad gambler and drinker by all accounts thats why we let you have him
  24. thats the nail on the head wilf i prefer non league the fancy stadiums and packages coming along kind of took something from the game for me when it really become a massive business for big money men before it seemed like local lads made good that took over your club i think roy keane hit the nail on the head years ago the prawn sandwich brigade taking over but that said theres some serious money being ploughed in to some non league clubs now
  25. neil wouldnt have him hes to much trouble max plus he doesnt fit in with his style of play i think blackpool under grayson is a better shout fancy eating fast food before a game plus hes looking at a young city player what did you make of your move max
