  1. nice little pup there mate, what breeding is it?
  2. well said, best not to rush them and enter them at the right time. With this most lurchers will make a fantastic rabbiting dog. Best off with something quick off the mark and game as : )

  8. I've noticed lately that their isnt half as much bunnies in my area as their has been in the past, and i have seen a few mixi too. Can mixi affect a whole area because it seems like it? I've to to all my spots in the area that are always plentiful, but now the holes are dead no sign of activity and nights on the lamp only seeing 1 or 2 bunnies. And can anyone offer any places in the north west area of the uk?

  10. Ye 5/8 plenty, and 1/4 not bad too. Too much bull makes them heavy and slow, bit of grey helps for speed

  14. Hi, how do you properly train your lurcher to jump, and at what age and what height to start with?
  15. How do you prevent a dog going for livestock such as sheep? Whats the training technique?
  16. Which do you prefer? And why, general pros n cons. And which suits certain breeds like bullx's and salukix's?
  17. Learn it to do basic commands like sit and heel in the lead. And then the dog may see you as the "leader" dont hit it just correct it with a loud and clear no. And maybe a hand signal showin the back of your hand, dont do it after it barks or it will get confused, make sure you check it whilst its in the wrong. It will take time but it will get you. Also dont give too much love and attention because dogs dont see affection the same as humans, giving too much affection brings you down to their level, allowing them to think the have some control( barking). Hope this helps : )
  18. Beddy whippets great but nout much different from a normal whippet apart from the coat. Pure whippets are easy to train and under esimated in terms of hardiness. They can just sometimes have skin that can easily tear, but so do most lurchers. But if your working through thick cover beddy best, lamping go for a pure whippet, thats just my opinion
