Seriously mate they can't have been Outlaws. Did they have the skull and crossed pistons on their backs? outlaws mate although the one screaming police was apparently something called a prospect , and was later apologised for .

I had a run in with some ,,,outlaws ..a few years ago , a bunch of scruffy halfwit crybabies ,who threatened to go to the police because they couldnt handle getting a slapping ..

A decent man , who , now he,s been given the job , should be given a chance , unfortunatly the press wanted Harry so they will be ready to pounce on any chance they get to say ..I told you so . I think some truly deserve the title great , others are the result of clever hyperbole , some of the dogs being described as great would be found wanting in more capable hands .

I don,t want to be harsh mate , but if your working a dog , you should at the very least be able to lead train it .

Maybe the fox population wasn,t as numerous as today ,( urban foxes are a relativly new phenomena )and the Hunts wielded more power in the countryside , any foxes were considered as untouchable by anyone except the Hunts , and farmers and humble lurcher owners would be loathe to get on the wrong side of the hunt . It could also be that lamping is a fairly recent method of hunting foxes , I should imagine that the numbers of fox taken with a lurcher without the aid of a lamp are negligable . -
Thats a really deep philosophical question , I suspect the answer would require an understanding of the works of Plato and Aristotle , not to mention a more than average knowledge of genetics , biology and physics., This is a question that has confounded canophiles for generations , and is therefore well over the heads of many bellends on here . Is the answer rottweiller ?

A well bred bullx , in the right hands , reared and trained right can be as good an all round dog as any other , a scatter bred , muscle bound , bashed up , untrained liability ,with a half wit on the other end of lead is an embarressment to us all.

I guess that you don't have muntjac where you are. Two of my friends have had whippets killed by muntjac bucks in the last couple of years and another mate who is a keeper is under standing orders to kill every muntjac seen on the estate because of the damage done to the landowners whippets by them. No mate , I confess I,v never even seen a muntjac ,but back in the day I did have some experience of roe and fallow , I,d also say that although I have worked my dogs steadily over the years , I don,t work them as hard or on the amount of game that a lot of people on here seem to do , so
