  2. yes mate i have a plan for that, gonna rig a slimline door with plastic strips which opens inwards when i open't main door outwards
  3. i can imagine you're well and truley knackered mate, i know i am ha ha, was gonna finish the travel box but decided to leave it for another day

  5. might just look at doing that mate,either that or maybe some heavy duty exterior (waterproof) paint or varnish, that should do it! gonna let it dry out first tomorrow (weather permitting), shame about the slope but limited for space/angles at the back etc, still should be ok when i get the guttering/pipes fitted etc

    mews heating

    cheers jasp, was a bit worried after last years -19 round here, saying that if it gets too cold i'll put her in't smaller mews in't garage

    mews heating

    just wondering what kind of heaters folks use for their mews for the winter months, whether it's a tube heater or heat lamp, read that both are used, just wondered which one is most popular cheers

  16. bit more done this aft, just door and roof to sort now, getting there slowly but surely
  17. i would expect the bird to take shelter at the back mate, if it gets extreme the bird will have to go in my garage wher i'm gonna build a small mews for it, either that or kick't wife outta bed and let it in ha ha ha
  18. on the top or front mate? i'm just learning to be honest, building this similar to saxonmasters as i have to keep it looking natural so it doesn't stick out too much cos of where i live! part open at top for weathering't bird and at front so it has a view rather than a wall to look at! cheers

  23. yes steve, roof supports fitted and yes mesh bought from knowles and fitted but hard to see on that pic, cost £10 delivered! bargain, just got door and roof to fit then about done mate
