  1. ....This is even further off the track then...Good few years back i was at East End park to watch Celtic play Dunfermline.....half time arrived and i was about half way up the stadium. Now i know its not supposed to be funny but obviuosly someone never enjoyed there pie from the back of the stadium and threw it and it skelped this lad in a wheelchair sitting down the front smack bang right on the top of the head. Dont know how many people saw that but i laughed for the whole second half!!!... Wrong on many levels, but I'd have pissed myself laughing! A hearty dis-recommendation
  2. Re: golf ball induced injuries, slightly off tack, but when I was working at the OU some years ago, I was watching a heat in the inter-departmental cricket game when someone hit a good 6 towards the crowd. An attractive willowy figured lady got up and ran in the general direction of 'away' when the ball cracked her right on the back of the head. Ironically, if she'd stayed put, the ball would have missed her by miles!
  3. Yes but that will wrap up shortly as the weather changes....... I reckon you'd feel a whole load better if you went out and clubbed a roe to death with the old 3 wood Maybe i could drill a low tee'd driver at them aiming for the head............... Done that once when practicing.........ball came of the heel, smacked a gas bottle and ball came straight back passed my head and smashed my landrover window..... at some golf hotel in devon last year, using the practise rubber golf balls I was challenged to hit the jcb that was excavating a new bunker about yards away. Good job it was a p
  4. Golf!!!!......f**k me, I didn't know things had got as bad as that Lab!! I'm a natural Wilf.....be rude for me not too play the game..... I'm only a natural at golf when it comes to hitting things with the ball that you aren't supposed to
  5. I can empathise with you Lab. Every now and then I have enough of killing, even though half my motivation for being out with a gun or rifle is kitchen based. When I've had a break for a while though, I do like to get back out again and relish the challenge and the age old instincts. I can also empathise with Tegaters point when he says he takes satisfaction in seeing his youngsters shoot- I do like seeing a good shot well-taken, whether its by my own flesh and blood or a friend. It is a really subjective thing
  6. Rather 1 airgun I know intimately than 5 that divide my attention. Nice looking kit though
  7. I always used to like muscle bikes that could tour well, just fancy something a bit more mental and flickable before I get too much older
  8. As she doesn't seem interested in any other species (maybe mice when theres no rats around), I don't mind her at all. By and large, I'm not a fan of cats - but the wife puts up with me having a pack of dogs and cabinets full of firearms, so fair enough really!
  9. Yes, Cloud eats them too. She has truly foul wind! BTW, the reason for the post was that a few folk on PW reckoned cats aren't any good for catching adult rats, only juveniles. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who knew they were spouting crap. Bloody Cranfield! Should have been called Scunthorpe!

  11. I keep hearing that cats can't kill adult rats. Funny thing is that our youngest feline social parasite keeps bringing in adult rats and eating them! In fact she is starting to look a bit round! All the extra curricular feeding is stacking up lol! What is more unusual is that she is only 6 months old. Am I the only one with a properly useful moggy?
  12. I wish you'd just say what you mean rather than beating around the bush!
  13. For me, using a springer I'd go .22 every time, without fail. They simply go off sweeter with softer recoil. Rangefinding needs to be a bit sharper for outright accuracy but I think the recoil payoff is more than worth it. Plus the .22 pellet holds on to its kinetic energy that bit longer and has more 'shock' power.
  14. on the plus side the victim turned out to be a Man-U supporter
  15. They usually have flip-ugly wives! Any excuse to be kipping elsewhere
  16. Having had a scirroco, I wouldn't wipe my arse with one Loo roll is much more absorbant!
  17. The one in the middle looks like a scirroco - I had one that my hmr burned out. Replaced with Sak (the one on the right) and no further problems
