  3. Hi everyone, thanks for the interest in her, she has gone to sean c on this site
  4. the best thing to start with is probably a good recrown of the barrel, power hammer spring adn steel breech. I think its gmac that are doing lothar walther barrel blanks for these now.
  5. Im very sad to say i have my 6 and a half month old lurcher bitch needing a new home. Sire- whippet/greyhoundfx .Dam- Collie/greyhoundfx , her name is coda she's a lovely pup, very fast and keen to learn lives in atm. She does have an unhealthy obsession with cats though she is pretty good with stock. Her recall could be worked on as she does go def when running especially with other dogs, she is good with our baby son but she can be overfriendly with older children. Jumps well when told "hup" and can retrieve pretty well in the back garden. Having said all this we were walkin in the woods 2 w
  6. Looks like a rabbitstopper barrel, trigger shoe, steel breech, new bolt. If you dont want the silencer i'll swap it for the ratcatcher one i have on mine plus a couple of quid if you want rid of it, send me a pm.
  7. sounds to me like you rather need a new transfer port seal (if its comin out under the breech) or a new tube screw (if its leaking under the forearm grip) part number 130B031 cost about £1.50 to fix ...
  8. all the little chavs that had staffs and thought they was well ard a few years back, finally learnt that staffs dont really do all that much and dog fighting is illegal and probably couldnt bare to see there little dogy get mamed anyway, so they bred em to whippets so they could boast about the little chavamuffin killin some rabbits they poached off the local farm. Alot of these lads are the reason i struggle to get new permission. Im sure not all the owners of this breed are as described above but i dont think they do much for the lurcher breed or at least not a much as a ghx
  9. Yeah i believe they use them ase bailers or finders to follow the scent then bark like mad till the rest of the party arrive, then use a heavy built dog for the holder. A pal of mine, filmed some on his mobile phone a few weeks back up on dartmoor by burrator reservior. Aparently there spreading like wild fire because there not being hunted as they would have been years ago. I suppose it wont be long till the come into conflict with farmers (if they arent already)
  10. Nice dog, that's why I put it up on another thread cheers FTB, i was hopin to see if there was anythin similar in the uk

  13. The Australian bullgreys look fine dogs any of you got there blood in your dogs?
  14. Thankyou, i think i reached that point today. The 1st two or three minutes he strugled but after that he relaxed and i had my best session of handling yet, when i said about the jumping on all fours thing it was rather alot like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOQPJxPiZjs which makes the whole thing look rather cute but i can assure you i could see the devil in his eyes . im guessing that will calm down over time?
  15. Yeah he's got a run and he comes in the house most nights
  16. Hi all, i need some advice on taming my new ferret hob (Ragnar). He is still very young so i should imagine theres enough time to get him tame. I hold him about an hour a day half hour in the morning and half hour in the evening and let him have a little run about the front room from time to time. From what i can tell he has been bred small as his parents are small and bred for hunting (i intend on working him aswell), he is a very confident little man and will happily take on the 5 month old lurcher by arching his back and jumping on all fours toward her and nipping her feet. I hold him arou

  20. can they eat a whole rabbit carcass raw (minus the head) when 5 months or is it just adults?
  21. funny how they'll charge you for a dog , but you take your misses down the nhs docs and there handing them out like sweets. atb with the vets
  22. Hi ferret, why dont you give the number at the bottom of the page a ring 02476715544 and ask about the dog. See if they know anything
  23. A dog i very much likea human athlete, it depends on the type of training to there stature/physique. If your doing 15 miles every other day the dog will be the equivalent of a human marathon runner, if you do 2/3 sprints twice a day the dog will be the equivalent of a human 100m sprinter. You can see marathon runners ribs but that dont mean there under weight. Looks in good condition to me
