  1. I was more thinking of using them as you do ferrets. Is that possible? I've got no idea about dachshunds. I once read somewhere that they use them like that in Europe. So I'm wondering which type they use as I'm thinking that the wirehaired type would be the popular choice???
  2. Anyone on here hunts rabbits with dachshunds? What type do find is the best out of the 3 miniature varieties?
  3. Sorry to hear of your loss... Better security in the way of padlocks, bars, etc. is a much better and cheaper option in the long run than keeping a dog for security.
  4. Any decent new books coming out soon?
  5. Does anyone know if any good pedigree Whippets have been exported out to Australia?
  6. Thanks guys... Yeah Rob, they can be a bit like that. The recall on mine isn`t too bad, but far from good. They`re certainly not a poachers dog!!!
  7. I know that in the UK you dont favour the Borzoi much... But I just thought that I`d put a few photos up of my dog and a mates dog.

This is a real long shot... As a kid (about 35 years ago) I remember seeing a film on t.v. I vagualy remember it, but I would love to know the title of the film. I remember it was about a boy who was a bit of a loner and it had some birds of prey in it. I think they were kestrals. It was a british film and it was in colour. I know its not much to go on, but anyone got any ideas what this film might be?
  11. If you want something that is going to be reliable and hold its value, then it must be a.... HONDA
  12. Fantastic book... I read a few pages a night of it, as I dont want it to end!!!
  13. Never used a long net, but I need one to get some rabbits out from under a load of bushes by using ferrets. Shooting isnt an option on where these rabbits are. So I need a long net or two. Whats the best advice that you can give a total novice like me? And as I`m in Australia, and as far as I know, no one in Australia makes a decent long net, who is the best person or company to get them from in the UK?
  14. Has anyone used a Ledlenser X21 for spotighting? If so, are they any good or just a waste of money? http://www.ledlenser.com.au/2009/ENG/products/html_highperformance/html_Xserie/x21.php?id=x_21 I have a Lightforce spotlight, but the battery is knackered and the lens is pretty scratched up. So I`m just wandering whether the X21 will do the same job or shall I get one of them new Lithium batteries?
  15. why breed a lurcher that ya have no idea wat it looks like. Not trying to come across as being smart pal I shall repeat myself for you: Mate, you`re not being negative at all, infact I admire what you posted. Yes, this is the first breeding I have done of this sort. However, I have spoken to a lot of people that have this type of dog and seen quite a few photos of this kind of dog. Its just that there is such a vast difference between the dogs (in looks) that I just wanted to see more of them. The majority of them seem to be smooth coated dogs, but there are also a few that crop up that
  16. Looks like you`re hanging around with all the rich boys out here by the looks of them dog boxes!!! Have a great time while you`re out here...
  17. sorry for being negative but surely if any one goes into breeding, you do your home work first and know what your breeding for, not mate two dogs to gather then ask what they have just created. its not like its a new cross and that there's not many around or have i just got old and grumpy Mate, you`re not being negative at all, infact I admire what you posted.
