  2. I will shortly be taking on a Greyhound/Whippet x Kelpie pup. And although I live in Australia, there doesnt seem to be many people with this kind of Lurcher. I`ve heard that the Kelpie Lurcher is gaining in popularity over in the UK. So I was wondering if any of you guys have such a dog and how do you find them when it comes to work.

  6. After asking any of you if there are any good Books on Working Border Terriers and getting no replies. I`m just wondering if any of you knowledgeable people out there would consider writing a book on this subject? There seems to be loads of books on JRT`s, Patterdales, etc. but none on Borders...

  14. So do you guys reckon that the best thing to do is;- have all the kits together in one pen, the jills in the other and the hob on his own in another? Any advice is much appreciated...
  15. O.K. Here is my dilema... I`ve got two Jills living in seperate pens. Their Kits are 8 weeks and six weeks old now. I want to know if and when I can have them all living in the one pen together. I`ve also got a hob (the father of the kits) which I would also like to have in the same pen. Is this advisable or possible? Help please....
  16. Do you need to hand feed the kits? I`ve just been letting their mum look after them so far... I assumed that they`ll eat solids as soon as they venture out of their box...

  19. As a novice to ferrets I have a few questions that I`d like answered by you more experienced ferret breeders... My jills have just had their young (I live in Australia its spring coming onto summer here now). The youngsters are now aged around 4 weeks old. One of the Jills had started taking a few nips at me just before she gave birth and has continued with this annoying habit. Will she get over this habit once the youngsters are older or removed from her? At what age can you start handling the youngsters? They havent come out of their box yet, so I have no idea how many I have. Th

  22. Seems like Turkey are producing good, nice looking guns at affordable prices at the moment. A mate of mine just got himself a Pointer 12g Shotgun. Exactly the same as the Yildiz 12g, without the ejectors but comes in a solid carrying case for the same price of the Yildiz 12g at $995 Aussie Dollars, thats about 395 pounds. That .410 I bought, works out to be about 295 pounds. Not the cheapest new D/B 410 around, but certainly the best for that money.
  23. Picked up my new .410 Yildiz on Thursday. I bought this gun without seeing it or handling it, as I was so impressed by the 12g Yildiz I bought and also read a few good reports on the 410. When I first saw it out of the box I fell in love with it. The gun is so beautifully made, slimline and light in weight (sounds like I`m talking about a woman here!!!)... When I handled it, it felt "just right". I took it out tonight and shot a couple of birds with it. It performance was excellent. I paid $740 (Aussie Dollars) for it, and I believe it is worth every cent. Anyone passing a gun shop
  24. yeah i remember that, i think he bought the one he was trialing :11: Just had a look at a new one (yildiz .410) in my local gun shop.... And bought it!!!
  25. I`ve got the 12g O/U... Great gun for the money.
