    i agree, i have travelled hundred odd miles to a place just to get out the car and it be heavy fog.. so i sit about waiting and have a walk only to get 2 rabbits..

    still abit young don would only been 14 months himself ,like you say it was chancey and the pups are doing ok ,atb i know were u are comin from and the dog was unproven, but the blood in him isn't.. We new from experience and we have had this line for a longtime so we knew it would work.. it wasn't like it was a lurcher that was bought in, don and polly are bred from our own stuff so we knew exactly what was going into them. We used a collie to get Don but it wasn't any ordinary one she was field & trial champion at county Wicklow & also defended her title the year after..

    it was intentional, he lined my uncles proven bitch.. he has had this strain for 20 years probably more so it wasn't a stab in the dark really has the breeding is good enough.. only folk that got the pups were friends and family & they were given away.. it might have been chancey with age but he is proving himself now and the pups are doing great so there is no complaining...

    Don (minshaw x collie) the sire and a bitch called Polly (full minshaw) the dam.. ive put a pic of Polly up on the post before fella just seen her nice bitch she looks more racier type the dogs have went heavyish, but the bitches in the litter are little racy types, and they seem to be putting plenty in the bag aswell.. killing hares single handed so seem to be doing ok mate.. here is another pic, the dog on the right is my brothers and he is out of Don/Polly. You say your brothers dog is out of don/polly yet on other post you an poacherspocket keep saying
