  3. hi lads,i went off lamping with my lurcher tonight to get him going he is 9 and a half months old.We went into the first field and i wasnt sure would he watch the lamp because it was his very first time out lamping.But he watched the lamp as if he was lamping for years so i was very pleased with that .So there was a rabbit squatting down and i walked up with the dog and lamp as i got closer the rabbit took off.So i slipped the dog and he took off like a bullet after the rabbit he coursed him down the field and then the rabbit ran into cover.So i was calling the dog back but he wouldnt come ba

First thing in the morning got up breakfest in.Ferrets and nets in the boot.Whent up to a permision just up the road.So i set up 12 purse nets on one side of the hedge and 24 purse nets and a 25 yard net on the other.so collar and bell on the ferret down the first hole a bit of rumbling then squeeling so had a look in the hedge and the ferret had a hold of the rabbit in the purse net.My mate jumped in and got the rabbit.thats 1 in the bag so far.Ferret gone back down then more squeeling then the squeeling stopped and a rabbit bolted into the longnet and was dispatched quickly and then another

  6. i have 3 of those type of colars and they are so much esier to work than the deben ones u should be able to find one in your local pet store hope this helps mate

  8. hi mate yes you can ferret with a longnet without a dog and it will hold the rabbit untill you get to it if you have good bagging in it. the equipment you need is a ferret of course .a carrying box,some purse nets i usally carry around 50 or so,or a long net and you will most definitaly need a ferret finder hope this helps mate and good luck

  10. hi mate get smaller grommets or what i use is elastic bands instead of grommets they do just as good of a job hope this helps

  12. hi mate try ebay you can get 150 yards of sheet netting for somthing like 26 pounds just type in long net netting . good luck

  19. hi guys i have been trying to train my lurcher to my ferrert but he still trys to attack them. just wondering how do you guys train the dogs to the ferrets ???? cheers
