Get a long piece of rope and attach it onto the pups collar and throw a tennis ball or any type of dummy in the garden and when the pup pics the ball up start pulling the rope towards you and at the same time say come When the pup comes back from you pulling the rope gentally give him lots of praise So the dog gets the idea that when he brings it back to you he gets praised and you are happy so hes kinda like sayin this is what he whants me to do Do this no more than 6 times a day for the pup or else he might get bored and then he wont want to do it Hope this helps mate and good luck

Hi guys went out lamping last night to see if i could get a bit of grub for the ferrets Got to the permission at about 10.45 so walked into the first field shined around nothing in site as there is always rabbits running about Walked half way up the field shined again nothing in front of us except a charlie off in the distance then shined behind us and there was a bloody rabbit stuck to the bottom of the grass i dont think he noticed us because he was eating so i slipped the dog then the rabbit ran up towards the ditch turned and the dog missed him on the turn and then the rabbit ran o

Hi guys There is a big overgrown bramble batch on one of the permissions i have and even in the winter its a pain to ferret So there is about 60 odd rabbits in this patch and they have burrows under neat the cover MY plan is to go in with a big long thin bit of sharp steel that has a wooden handle to hack down the cover for the winter How long do i leave the rabbits alone before i go to get them with the ferrets after hacking down the cover Cheers

Hi lads i know a farm about twenty minutes away from me and i often do go ferreting there and last winter i would get about 10 rabbits off each set and over the summer they got mixi and i would say that there was atleast over a 1000 bunnys on this farm but when they got mixi i went up to the farmer and had asked what happened to the rabbits and he said they all got mixi !I was so annoide that they got mixi as it was one of my best permissions Will any rabbits come back for the winter after getting hit hard with mixi ?? Cheers

hi lads i have been thinking about this for a while it mite sound a bit stupid but i was wondering why is there only rabbits that live in ditches and none live in ground burrows around my area ? I have been ferreting for only 4 years now and every time i go or find some permission i always look out for some ground burrows but there is only ditches with rabbits ? Is this to do with the type of ground/land that they are on ? Cheers

Hi lads my polecat jill has a rat tail why is this ? She has small bits of hair on it but its more of a rat tail than a ferret tail at the moment she is only a young ferret aswell ? Cheers

stick him down with an experienced ferret mate and he should be fine
