  1. my question was a genuine one but a castrated hob is useless to you for bringing a jill out of season. please dont tell us youve just had the wrong operation done
  2. sooner than the age youd be introduced to a pair of boots and 2 jackets
  3. done the paintjob myself think theyre around the 25 quid mark.... indestructable! his email is... phillip.walker7@ntlworld.com drop him a message.
  4. well i had one of his cattys for a day and sold it on. didnt like it at all. .... i had loads of cattys at one time. 20 or so..... but had to sell/swap most of them as i had too many. you can only shoot one at a time i had these...plus more that i made and countless naturals drying.... just left with my 4...my lads mini catty and a couple of naturals hanging about. i will get hold of that guys email who made me them two out of hdpe. theyre real good
  5. the one on the right is the double banded one. im not getting on with it tbh. its super powerful..... but like i said, im swaying to singles. i 'acquired' an rk catty unbeknown to me....through a swap. i thought it was wank to be honest ....his customer service is shiit and he takes AGES to sort out your order.
  6. werent terriers bred into whippets in years gone by
  7. three of my favourites. 2 outside omes are made by a mate of mine out of hdpe...which is virtually indestructable.... and the middle was a gift off atomlab
  8. singles do feel really light but if you cut the short....it makes them almost maxed out ar full draw.....which generates an awful lot of power. im liking the singles lately. just cant be arsed with the effort of drawing the doubles tbh.
  9. theraband gold flats..... double or single? now ive been using both for a while and am lucky enough to own two of the exact same catapults for comparison. one banded singly....the other doubled up. seems that the 22+ ft/lb of the doubles attracts the obvious vote and is number one choice for game.... but the singles are more than capable of dispatching game. i find a harder draw with the doubles affects your accuracy.... whearas the light draw with the singles puts no strain on the drawing hand...... got to say im swaying towards the singles. compromising a little p
  10. not a fan of gamekeeper catapults. the latest milbros look decent. i prefer to make them....or atleast support the small time guys who make them for 'the enjoyment' and nor for the money. my 3 favourites. middle one is a gift from 'atomlab' on here and the other 2 were made by an auld boy i know. complete crackers!
  11. ahh the big debate some people are just whippet guys...'whippeteers'.... and others prefer to indulge in the dark side
  12. i read the first page.... and decided lifes too short.

  16. CATAPULT NOW REHOMED And... my car needed fixed....estimated at well over a grand!!!!! Fixed today for 66 quid
  17. them pictures of that ferret court were definitley taken before the ferrets got into it ....i wonder what state its in now i bought a chicken coup but didnt fancy it over my triple hutch.... just seemed a bit flimsy and had some 'hard to reach' areas that would make cleaning a nightmare. didnt like the mesh all round.....if the ferrets shiit up the side of it then it would look a right mess. i would put a couple of bits of perspex....6"or so high in the bottom corners to prevent this. regards to warmth in winter. mine (along with others) have endured some super harsh winters
  18. Ferkin hell... theyre plastic and wont make a noise. Set 10 steps apart. Ach well. I gave it a go
  19. i dont know where your getting the idea ive got cash stashed under the mattress......cars just gone tiits up now i seen on of joes longnet baskets....also seen on he made out of a blue barrel...fancy giving that a go. looks the bollockks
  20. its probably set about 2 1/2 - 3ft high.... ive never even seen a longnet before i just took my own initiative and done what i thought would be best. id be interested in the traditional method..... but will have to get onto 'the one' for a lesson on how to do it. i havent got a clue i cant adjust the height of that net....ive grinded all the hooks off and only left 2 of them....
  21. i knocked on the doors to ask if i could use their lawn they just nod and smile.... they know me ive had the lure down the street and back up with a turn in a garden when adding more line.... they get used to it hazel poles would be good for my next one mate need to sort a decent basket...homemade ofcourse. im using a 'paper round' bag.
  22. we have all been there mate i had fcukall when i moved house.... b&m's is your friend
  23. had a pile of sheet netting in the garage...a load of paracord and some electric fence posts.... rather than chop the netting up for purse nets or sell it... i had a go at making a longnet of some sort....making use of the good weather. i grinded the 'hooks' off the posts that i wouldnt be needing and taped it all up to prevent anything catching. i used paracord for the top and bottom lines and gave the net 100% bagging. its either 21 or 25 yards long... cant remember its not the smartest looking.....poles arent ideal.... but im sure it will work. ive got another load of
