    Had the dogs out early morning for a while...and while the pups energy seemed to be spent .... Headed straight back out with her.... Headed down to a local river...across a few fields.... playing about with a ball....and a bit of retrieve here and there.... just a bit of fun... Didnt expect the little fecker to dive into the river.... she can swim .... Its baltic here...and winds picking up...so headed back with her looking like a drowned rat .... EARS BACK...FULL TILT ...

    Started a new catapult this morning.... decided to try something new.... so bear with me As the glue is drying as we speak... ill get onto some filing in a wee while and post back.... Some pics... Glued and clamped.... More later ...

    Nice quartet of dogs there bpr, are they all pure whips? Fawn/white pup is a non ped... The rest are peds ... All very nice dogs mate, but those two black young uns are exactly my cup of tea, belters 2 black uns' are xxgeo28's... 18months and 11 month i believe

    Cant really put my finger on how to keep them relaxed... Its all about how you are...some people seem to be natural at handling them....others look like robots.... The fact you dont trust them...will mean your probably the latter...and look like something off doctor who .... Handle them...change hands... stroke them... move them about.... swing them gently...note GENTLY... Would you be happy gripped in a vice and not being able to move ... SOMEBODY WHO HAS DEFINITLEY 'JUST GOT IT' .... DEMOSTRATING THE 'GENTLE SWING-

    Seen the video on youtube also.... Can see how you would mould a handle...using your hand etc....but how do you make the forks? ... I take it you flatten it out...let it cool and cut it?.... or?....

    Had a look mate... Think im set on a van + caravan..... Just get better use out of the van when were not using it with the caravan... Thinking about the trafic/primastar ...

    Cant see these failing anytime soon ... Sold enough of them... and not heard anything negative back?.... But aye... i must admit.... hands were getting way to sore...so resorted to a glove on one hand... gets the job done....

    Definitley not got too much time on my hands today... just careful in making time .... Fits your hand a dream this does..... The wood on the 'palmswell'... was a leftover/snapped chopping board ...

    Thought about a camper... but where would the dogs go.... Got a big diesel estate... not keen on lugging a caravan about with my nice car ... Think a van would be ideal.... dogs in the cages... quad in the back (kids electric)... bikes in the back... caravan on and away we go... Dogs can sleep in the van out the way... And the rest of the year ive got my van for the dogs/ferrets/ bikes ..... id never be 'allowed' one just for me ...

    So... left a raw fork in my bag by mistake so decided to knock a gutty up in my dinner hour.... Used handtools...and a few bits of sandpaper ... Glue join...could be better... but i think youd need better tools (bandsaw...bench saw etc).... But will be fine.... Had another half hour before i finished work (on lates) .... with the sanding.... Just deciding on how to finish it now!! Will be banded with theraband yellow...or some other tubes of choice... Hence the scolloped tips and 'runs' ...

    Ive had a squirrel off my back fence with an 8mm steel BB... lucky shot?...perfect placement?...i dont know.... killed it outright though.... Now i use 12/14 steel or lead....

    what i was getting at..... was on ebay... they put the postage as 'free'... even though theres obviously a fee to post.... but they get good postage feedback that way....

    changed rhys' thumbstick...into a catapult he can shoot easily.... he can take this anywhere...and shoot as he pleases... theraband yellow tubes...seem a nice light draw for him... so went with that (i got off whipbed).... scolloped the fork tip to keep the bands running true.....anf secured with some cord tied with a 'constrictor knot... this would have held....i tried it... but for extra safety...not taking chances with kids...i wrapped the cord a few times and then tidied up with some green elastic... THE END RESULT... shoots really nice ..
