  2. it lamps like its blind just kidding didnt notice her eyes until you pointed it out and yes, looks very wierd indeed next to the whippet.
  3. my ferret hutch is in a 'bin store' at the back door. the gate stays open 24/7 but the gate locks should i need it and no fecker can get in. ive got lab x collie thats a good noise maker and a whippet that sounds like a burst squeaky toy had my hutch broke into a while back but nothing was taken, so put locks on but theyre pointless tbh with the way my hutch opens, id need 9 locks.
  4. whens lanark market on?
  5. too true. them ones on saturday night were motoring away. with a lurcher and a whippet on its arse it knew exactlt where it was going, no turns, just straight across the green and out of sight!
  6. i have GC permission and have to agree the rabbits are like shiit off a shovel. cover is usually close by and they know exactly where they are heading. still provides some good sport for us though. and if thats all you have then thats what you have to use. im in the process of getting some more permo and if you want a night out mine or your land we can sort that out. ill be starting the pup soon on my GC permo because its a good enviroment should she decide to play up.
  7. to be honest, we seen a few rabbits last night but they were either out of the view of the dogs, too close to the hedge/fence or off motoring like a gazelle as soon as the lamp went on. enjoyed the night thoroughly. its not all about numbers. its about getting out, enjoying watching the dogs run and making the most of the good company
  8. any ideas what can cause a small bald(ish) patch around the size of a 10p piece about half way down the tail? its nothing major. just a bit flakey. wondering what i can do to nip it in the bud?
  9. that golf course was littered when i looked 4 days ago yet last night there was only a few......hmmmm
  10. had a good night last night. it was very boggy and the ground was sludgy. golf couse was a nice relaxing walk at the end of the night and provided a couple of slips. pictures could have been better, but what do you expect for 2am

  13. cheers rake. ill have a look
  14. anybody got a good link to a nice cheap pair of wellies. last pair was from lidl, done me fine for 12 months with a pair of memory foam insoles...now theyre damaged so need a new pair. seen some gamekeeper wellies at a game fair for £30, im kicking myself i didnt buy them.
  15. not sure about having them as pets but hoping to have a couple in the hutch after tonight.
  16. ill have the 2 of them if you will post?
  17. i do like them without the handles. something different about them.
  18. im under no illusion the quality of these...i have one here i have bought for my old man. it was 9 times the price of a morra and worth every penny....the major factor for me personally is it going to get used 9 times more? im only suggesting another option for the lads that dont want a show knife or a fancy piece with hand and sheith etc but a blade with a laracord handle to use in the field daily and use well.
  19. why dont you consider a paracord handle knife? i personally couldnt use one of your better knives in the field, they are too good. im after a rough knife, nothing fancy. just a blade to do a job
  20. Youll be hard pushed to find a use for it as a hunting or fieldcraft knife....... you actually have to get out the campervan to use it
