    Derek, from a serious point of view their job is done in line with the political order of the day. A few years ago a woman getting a slap wasn't seen as the worst crime in the world, nowadays you'll be jumped on from a great height. Not that I think there's anything wrong with that. Wildlife crime, firearms, 'terrorism', all the same. You only have to look at the extraditions to the US to see something's seriously wrong with the system.     If my kids went missing I'd ring the police to take advantage of every opportunity to get them back. They'd still be cnuts to me either way, especially considering I'd want to kill those responsible if only to save taxpayers money from rehousing and protecting them after they finish their 2 year sentence, yet they'd stop me because they're as braindead as everyone else it seems.

    I'd rather trust a raghead in afghan than a copper trying to get on the promotion ladder - my old man was always on the right side of the law, knew a fair few coppers through his job and said never trust them, ever.
