  1. It’s all about practice & hold, you get to know your equipment, what it’s capable of, don’t get me wrong I’ve had a few guns that just didn’t cut the mustard, you have to be comfortable, the balance has to be there, a gun that suits you is just an extension of you arm that connects with your brain, then it’s just a case of see it, work out the distance, load , lift & lock, then squeeze that trigger, 9 times out of ten you know before you squeeze that trigger it’s in the bag, ask any of the lads that’s shot with me, I never take bi-pod shots or off the ground shots, at times I may rest
  2. Well I’ve been out many a night shooting & the only shots I’ve fired are the few to check my zero, sometimes not a shot at vermin at all, so to me it makes no difference if I’ve got a multi shot pcp or a springer, I also shoot freehand, no bipod shots or sticks used that’s pcp or springer, and I will happily take safe kill zone shots up to 60yrds with my proven & tested Gun of choice.
  3. That’s s fair comment, on a normal shooting session/ night shoot , how many shots do you fire , say at rabbits
  4. You were offered the mk1 a few times, which you never accepted, it was sold the other day mate, all my pcps are now gone & may never own another
  5. Rez , I normally shoot lefty, I can shoot right handed aswell, but I need a little extra height on the scope mounts to get my right eye in comfortable, jimmy fetched a couple of scopes over tonight to try on the prosport both 40mm low mounts were no good , high worked great for the eye, I’m actually thinking about a 4-16x50 Hawke eve or something along that line,
  6. Seems it’s each to there own Rez, live & let live, I was ready to pack in shooting altogether , but decided on getting back into shooting a good springer as I find it more challenging to my ability, I know I can shoot as much with the prosport as any pcp I’ve had & the satisfaction I will get will boost my interest.
  7. Well this topic appeals to me, I have shot at targets & hunted, with both pcp & springers, Both with good results on the right days, I’ve had some great pcp rifles which at times are very useful, quite multi shots, given you a quick easy second shot third etc, for when you duff a shot or your in a prime location with six rabbits in very close proximity of each other & you can rapidly dispatch the lot, but I’ve been in the same situation wacking 100+ crows with a pocket full of pellets, cocking ,loading & holding a good spring rifle that has a bit soul, both of which give you the
  8. Cheers jimmy, I will have a look through the Hawke, think I’m going go 4-12x40 mate.
  9. Just noticed the weight mate 737 ish grams! To heavy mate, can you not convert the top mount to take the lamp mate
  10. Pao have bad reviews Phil, can’t get away with the eye relief on the connect mate,
  11. I think I will struggle with that mag at the range mate, clear view at 60yrds needed rez
  12. I had a 3-9x50 non so hawke vantage but it had normal Mil-Dot ret !
  13. Can anyone recommend a lightweight scope , I’m looking for a scope to put on my prosport, something lightweight, nothing to fancy, I tried my Mtc mambalite 4-16x44 on the prosport, but I want something shorter, I do like some of the hawke range, looked through a few with nice reticles the amx but do the do a short scope ?
  14. The streamline has a nice feel to it, nice lightweight aswell, I had a hold of 1 in the dealers on Saturday
  15. Big lump of a scope mate, happy shooting when the weather allows
  16. Well after very little use of my airguns last year, I made my mind up to sell the Airwolf & the Rapid, I had a trip out with jimmy & si to the local range the last time si was up north, within 10 minutes I was bored stiff shooting the pcp at the targets, so I put the guns away, I went to the rfd in Newcastle on Saturday afternoon & bought a nice new prosport in .22 walnut & came home & listed the pcp’s for sale, they both sold after a few timewasters & that’s the end of them, I instantly feel better about shooting again, using skill and a nice springer, now I just need
  17. Nice but I would have a quality 1 piece mount on it mate , to hold that mamba lite
  18. Well done Mark, but why hide the price ? Ive been looking myself & thebest price I’ve seen has been 585 for the walnut version !
  19. You made the right choice, you won’t regret it, I’m pleased you decided to take on board the information a few gave you
  20. Sorted now jimmy, the barrel is done, f.o.c so just going buy the hw mod New off John!
  21. Why bother asking advice if you’ve already made your mind up to buy it, there’s loads of cracking deals on the 2nd hand market, that are loads better than your chosen gun, that will well out last your chosen Gun, and are much lighter & pointable, the Gun of your choice is very unbalanced, heavy & problem matic, but crack on & believe me you will regret your purchase
  22. That prosport is a topper, it was mine & I would be more than happy to have it back so if mark doesn’t want it I will take it !
