  1. Thanks guys. Looks like the main contender to go on my new 410.
  2. Right guys, i see that quite a few are using these scopes and i just want to know how good they really are? At the moment my mind is between one of these or a nikon pro staff.
  3. I can get a flectarn one for 18 quid. Don't think i can go far wrong.
  4. Well after 10 years of hard use my waterproofs have given up. I am considering a poncho as a replacdment as i favour using surplus hunting gear and figure i could just throw this on as and ehen i need it. Anyone used one?
  5. Mine likes Crosman Premiers but i Will be trying a few more brands out tomorrow.
  6. I shoot out to 40 yards max but apart from ratting , most of my shots are 25 - 30 yards so no problem with a plain ret .
  7. For years i shot on x6 and had the AO set at 30 yards. Never had a problem just point and shoot. Last year i started using x10 and found it to be a pain. I was always fiddling with the AO to get a pin sharp image and it turned out to be a chore. Im back to my old ways now and shooting much better.
  8. Has it got an adjustable objective or did you change it yourself?
  9. I much prefer a plain ret as many of the new ones appear cluttered to my eye. My next scope is going to be a Nikon Pro Staff EFR and it has a very clear ret. It is just a case of learning to use "eyeball" holdover as i did for many years with a 30/30 ret before i fell for mil dot mania!
  10. Yet great reviews from the f#####g magazines that most folk trust!!!!
  11. I seem to remember good reviews but they always give good reviews in the mags. They seem to have vanished now.
  12. Crosman Premier Hollowpoints were ok out to 25 yards through my old 77. Falcon Accuracy have been the best ratting pellet I've used. Soft pellets, max impact and a nice flat trajectory.
  13. Livelines in Armadale is a fantastic shop. The owners, Scott and Yvonne are very friendly and knowledgeable.
  14. I cannot wait til i get mine, hopefully in the next few weeks.
  15. Very good mate. I used to have a 77 and it was awesome.
  16. I've got FUD decoys and think they are great. They are easy to carry and to set up and they look better to my and the pigeons eyes.
  17. Set yourself up half an hour before dark and be silent. If there are rats about then they will soon start to appear. Using a nv monocular can be better for scanning the area than a lamp.
  18. I am thinking of getting a 22 for hunting. What kind of groups are you getting and with what pellet ?
  19. Im thinking about getting a Brocock Contour XL in .22 as a general purpose hunting rifle. Anyone got any experience with them?
