  1. if its only 18 months old it will have at and if you want to keep it you will need to send it back to air arms,as for power the only way to check is with a chrono.i,ve had an s410 for years now and they dont need much to keep them running sweet,if it goes back to air arms they will check power and probably give you some kind of documentation to show this.good luck on whatever you choose to do bud. atb sneeky

  6. hi mate i haven't done any paper punching with these pellets, but i have a pond on one of my permissions which is perfect for checking where your pellets are hitting.at forty yards they are hitting reed stems and small leaves floating on water and have no problems with head shots on squirrels at these ranges. atb sneeky
  7. cheers lofty i thought as much,it did say crow magnum on the back of the tin. atb sneeky

  9. cheers daz i normally use aa field and field plus mate,i,ve found them to be excellent in my rapid,i just wanted to try the bisleys as they are very similar if not the same as the beeman crow magnuns which i could never seem to buy anywhere.good luck with your rapid when it comes mate, you wont be dissapointed. atb sneeky

  14. cheers mate the pellets are hollowpoints,i normally use aa fields and field plus but just wanted to try these for a change and i will definately be using them again atb sneeky ive got a tin of them, was told they're great for birds up to 20 yards but not much else. all i can say to that is you have to try them for yourself and see how they are in your own gun,i was told the same kind of thing and thats why i had not tried them till now.they were better than i expected and i will be using them again. atb sneeky

  16. decided to try some pellets that i had not tried before,i bought some bisley pest control last week for a change,on the back of the tin it said crow magnums and they look the same as the beeman crow magnums, dont know if there is any connection.anyway after running a couple of mags worth through the gun i was ready for some hunting as the pellets were hitting their mark at reasonable ranges.i went uo to a small group of trees at the top of the field and spotted my first squirrel,i took aim and squeezed the trigger the pellet hit its mark with a thump, these pellets hit hard i was quite impresse
  17. if its airguns you are talking about get a second hand rapid, they are very accurate and easy to service, what more would you need? atb sneeky

  20. if rifle is 12ftlb i would set my targets 35/40 yards, what pellets are you using? atb sneeky
  21. cheers wurz, sounds good mate atb sneeky
  22. if you shorten barrel you will have to change other parts to get gun back to 40ftlbs.i'm not sure if your barrel will be choked as i'm pretty certain the bigger calibre model at 80ftlbs is not.the gun looks good as is mate i would just use it and enjoy.its not a big thing to get it machined if you do take that route.as for pellets aa field plus are good for those powers and being 18grains will fly flatter than bis-mags or barracuda's.hope this is some help. atb sneeky
  23. surely a company that size could just give you a replacement gun and they could deal with edgar brothers, that way both parties would be happy and you could get on with your shooting.
  24. mind and post how you get on mate it may help others in future.good luck. atb sneeky
  25. yes mate straight back to shop,if it has been back for repair then obviously someone has had gun before you.it may help if you can get the date that it was sent back for repair and what the problem was and take that information back to where you bought the gun from and confront them with the facts.if you still have no luck trading standards and name and shame the dealer so no-one else is sold a pig in a poke. atb sneeky
