  5. If u value your Jill and she is a good worker then £20-25 isn't that much when u consider a bleeper and collar costs £150. Better safe than sorry IMO
  6. I know that I was using rabbit dog as an example so a dog that takes rabbits in all ways possible. I would say an all rounder is a dog that u can take with you on any day for what u choose to hunt. Lamping 1 night coursing the next or fox or whatever. The more different types of quarry a dog takes the more well rounded it is
  7. An all rounder is a dog that hunts more than 1 type of quarry. But there are "all round" rabbit dogs i.e ferret, mooch, lamp. So imo there are all rounders and all round specific dogs
  8. If its not your dog and it's not in your back why are u worried??? If it keeps your "mate" happy then let him be. How can u pass judgement as to if his dog is shit what's your own dogs like???? Maybe if u and plenty of others on this forum spent less time worrying about other peoples dogs and more about their own they might have a better dog...
  9. Who's dog is it gonna be urs or ur missus' why don't u just take that kind offer and put ur foot down lol
  10. Getting a pup so that Will keep me ocupied, make loads of nets for next season, plenty of fishing. And the usual shite
  11. Agreed Agouti would be your best route mate, Ive also been hunting around a year and a half and decided to start making nets just before xmas, have made 10 so far and after you get the hand of it which takes a few days im sure you will really enjoy making them and nothing better when a rabbit purses in your 1st hand made net!! ATB Adam

  14. Rang this fella tonight, told me dam is 18months old and the sire was only 13 months which now lives in England, both parents seem a bit young to have proven their worth never mind breeding them. JMO
  15. My best bag is 21, we only ever really take what we need to feed the ferrets and dogs between us who hunt together. Wouldnt fancy gutting and skinning 100 rabbits lol

  17. Got 1 myself about month or so ago, great wee spade, really light and handy to carry. Seems strong too so should last
  18. Better to be safe than sorry, and I agree you may get better numbers with a locator, if you have a ferret that kills and moves on you could dig in the time is take to make the kill, retrieving both ferret and rabbit, and some times can be more than one rabbit in a block end. Not to mention the safety aspect of the ferret and again how much you value your ferret.
  19. Was a good day with good result. Would say craic was good but car on way home pissed me off lol other than that not bad lol
