just keep away from day old chickens and pork and dog and CAT foods and watch out for the protein levels in dry foods the higher the better for ferrets no lower than 34% for your ferrets when feeding dry food to ferrets

for all lads that are unsure about protein in ferrets i will help you on the right way forward first of all is cat and dog food is a never because of the low protein content in it .ferrets need a min of 34 persent protein never lower because of they have a every short digesive tract so high levels of protein is needed to give them the energy levels they need .vitalin is by far the highist at 40 persent then james welbeloved at 36 persent and also alpha is at 36 persent.meat is good to but gos off in the summer mths and is not good for the kits to eat bad meat

if you can get the mk3m they are alway right and when you have got to grips with it you will never look back at the mk1 and the mk2. mk3m collar is a tad big .they are ebay but why ? because they are no good any more they have had there day in the fields time to move on to newer and better stuff .the mk3m is the dogsbol****ks but dont like it in orange thats just me

when a ferret gets older they WILL get teeth probs .the teeth go yellow and they get tarta from jwb

mk3m collar is water proof . thats good for ware i go. the mk3 had to take the collar off

no .keep away from them because if and when the mk1 gos wrong you can not get it fixed if you can go for the mk3m the best bit of kit you will ever have in your kit bag .they are always bang on takes abit to get to grips with .deben do not even do anything with or for the mk1 any more not even the stickers for them . they old tech now (mk3m every time for me )simon whitehead on youtube will show you how to use the mk3m

.your not feeding day old chickens though are you ? if so dont but sayiny that they are ok from time to time as a treat .when you are feeding a ferret you should think about getting as much porteins in to them as you can because ferrets have high energy level needs because they have a lot shorter digesive tract than CATS or dog (NEVER FEED YOUR FERRET CAT FOOD EVERY DAY ITS NO GOOD FOR THEM). any meat but NOT pork,OR A GOOD DRY FOOD befor you get a dry food go for one that as high portein content in .the high the better ie VITALIN IS 40% PROTEIN and alpha ferret feast is 36% protein and jam

if you trust your ferret to do the job and like the blood line who cares .just as long as you are happy with them .as you should no small sized ferrets can have a hard time with a big rabbit even if they are every game
