  1. Ye four key ingredients to a good working dog..recall,stock break, retrieve and jumping..recall being the number one, the other three when ever, younger the better for stock breaking mind lol cats, f**k cats..you only ever see them in the streets, an its never off the lead in the streets, a load of nasty roads an Dick edd drivers. Not worth the risk..although my bitch does sit and lie..but doesn't sit on hard ground..she sits, then lies half the time..aslong as she knows I'm boss who cares haha good thread
  2. Thanks for the sensible replies lads an lasses, I'm off to bed now..il be getting on the vets case tommorow, see what they say inbetween the time I can hopefully get hold of the proper vets lol Infact might be worth my while ringing the dog track before the pet vets
  3. Go completely raw, as for carbs I give my bitch some brown bread ..and scrambled eggs..be carefull of the bones etc, it can be like shutting concrete for them, my bitch gets abit like this every so often..also worming will be more regular too..as for bones, give say one chicken carcuss after each meal..it will keep there teeth in good nick..but I wouldn't go from one extreme to the other as said above..Atb
  4. I'm in south wales, and I haven't got transport atm..I live 20mins from ystrad greyhound track ..they would know of local bone men wouldn't they?
  5. It feels like tissue like..soft and bumpy bits ,and it only on one side..broken kneck ,don't get me worried now lol..I'm taking her to vet 100% tommorow,I take no risks with her lol..she hasn't had any knocks bumps or tumbles lol and she's sharp as a button..but can be abit whimpery now and again with it..when I touch it etc, she doesn't cry then though..f*****g strange ehh?
  6. My bitch has been tender round the kneck area, I just checked it again an one side feels like a lumpy muscle or varagus vein sort of, has anyone had anything like this before..she's done nothing unsual to do this as far as I'm aware..

  9. My old man said that he seen two beddy xs and both when missed a rabbit would hunt up like f**k..but we gota dvd here of a beddy cross, that doesn't do that..so it all depends really. I don't like the coats of beddy crosses particulary..but what doesn't work for me works for another LOL if your just after a rabbiting dog..you will notget any better than a whippet mate..but for ferreting etc have a splash with something with a nose and abut of brains..all depends what you want from it
  10. Iv only ever had one breed of lurcher so far, and the way she's turning out..I don't see any reason to experiment with any other breed..atm. someone on here on another thread something about what happened to the old type lurchers, why are there so many bull xs, someone came up with.."you need to move with the times" lol I thought that was a typical "bull x" owner answer..that there's nothing as good as a bull x, but their are far better crosses that will do what a bull x will do, and more ..or more of and quicker lol I personally haven't got anything against that breeding but its the type of a
  11. Haha "everyone else does" haha that's cracked me up
  12. How can greyhounds and whippets be what they are if there's bull blood in them? Lol
  13. Just get a good bred whippet..lol and as for the comment on dh x gh, iv not got one myself but dh gh x collie gh..29tts and touching 80lbs in weight, she can turn let me tell you..maybe not aswell as smaller dogs, but the whippet types etc can't get away from her, and that's on flat land and on the ruff mountain stuff ..maybe its because she's intimidating the smaller dogs I don't know ,cos she's a big fecker..but she can turn and after about five or six strides they can kiss her tight f*****g arse lol
  14. Shrouded barrels have baffles in..my hunrsman only has one in due to be carbine length barrel..but what a difference, sounds like a rifle without ,but quietens it up a lot..fully floating some people say are more accurate..if there not positioned right etc..bull barrels I don't know..but shrouded barrels are good..but can add some length..in my case it adds 1-2" on barrel..and my silencer itself is only 3"added ..someone will probably come along with a better answer
  15. The gun or employees lol..I was shocking with mine when I first had it..I put it down to New gun jitters, different scope, and type..and expecting recoil etc..but I can't miss now iv killed some stuff with it..all nerves out the way haha..it got that bad I was thinking of getting a Springer again
