We ,have a house cat that rules the roost with our dogs and ferrets.Everyone seems to get on ,just fine but the CAT is the boss.I have seen good dogs,blinded by a cat even after they have killed it .Respect to the cat imo.

I,wonder , how many Good all round running dogs, are subject to a life of misery or death,due to peoples expetations of them through,books/websites and the like .IMO sounds like ,some folkes would be better off,getting a rifle rather than a dog.

I have seen many a good dog that fails to retrieve.Keep playing the,retrieve game ,with the pup for as long as you can :thumbs:if the pup gets bored,then stop.Had many a night,spoilt in new company ,with dogs that would not ,retrieve.

Horses 4 courses innit .I have ran, some "great looking -shit dogs and some shit looking- great dogs .But i like the collie/greyhound got a half bred and a quarter bred pup due in april.

Sounds like you had a great season mate .In april i will be getting 2 new pups collie /greyhound first cross dog :notworthy:and a 1/4 collie 3/4 greyhound bitch ,i havve booked these pups a yr in advance .Due to my age these will be the last dogs i have,so the next 14-18 months are training/bonding time.Istill have the old lad, if i feel the need for a mooch.,

My best ever ,collie/greyhound was a hancock merle bitch .Bought her in the late `s as an 8 week old pup ,no hare dog at 23" But worth her weight in gold .
