Thats it, tool for the job, i remember only to well my first encounter wi fox, i work 2 whippets, vast difference in height n weight, my little bluey who most whippet owners would look down there nose at, she will, and does get stuck in, because like ive stated . accidents do happen, but it took the help pf my other bigger bitch to finish the job, but i was proud of their efforts, and let em be, ive known of dogs for the jobs, coming a cropper
  2. there are a lot of foxes in my area i see when out on the rabbits. was just curious, if he got on the tail of one would he get f**Ked thats all lol. Summat tells me you are a youngster, not that its out to do with me, but here is my advice to you for what its worth, ive been running working whippets for a good few years now, and have always made it clear that i do rabbits only, but yes accidents do happen when out with your dogs, would your dog get f****d if he met up with one, in all probability , YES it would cheers keith

Hi TOMO.Most of my dogs over the years have had collie in them,And i can honestly say.I never had a yapper.You can work a young dog.Abit of ferreting or bushing and get away with it.But trying to run it to young is a no-no.Its down to whos training the it.People are to quick to blame the dog.Catcher. Thats it my good man, entering a dog to young, on prey they have no chance of coppin, sends em mental. i own 3. none of em yap
  6. Sprouts, Cabbage, Carrots, turnips, just chop em up, put in with their food, raw, they shift the lot

  9. Never lifted a dog of mine over a fence yet, start that caper and they become reliant on it, if they cannot clear gate or whatever, leave em to it, they will find a way
  10. My apologies, i should have made it clear, my dogs do bunnies only, perhaps i shouldnt have replied, love it always gets one biting, thats sad that is, you say whipps not tough enough, i say, watch this space cheers keith
