imo the only time a young dog can fail is if it gets up to quarry gets bit comes out and wont go back for me thats the end for that dog but a dog that carnt get to its quarry but wants to because of size etc this is just a case of the dog needing to learn to dig on but as mud dog has ready said dont put a big dog in a tight place but anybody who says they have never bred or had a dog thats failed is talking bollocks can tell you know had my fair share

the only time we breed is when we have to and they are normally just kept amongst the lads i dig with have given pups away in the past the deal being we get a pup back if it works and they line it or if they want to get rid of it it comes back to us but not any more as been let down a few times dogs sold etc

its hard to know without all the facts like how many have you aready dug with him and when he came out did he want to go back if he didnt want to go back then from my experiences he will almost certainley do it again which is goodbye but if he wanted to go back but you just picked him up or stopped him then thats different seen this before a lyoung dog came out lad who owned him picked him up put older dog in and dug it the young dog was mad for going back in he got rid the dog worked on after it was just green at the time saying that yiu know your dog better than anyone so atb with him
