  4. i find them great, got hearts of lions when it comes crunch but as laid back as bob marley around the house and yard. where did you get yours from? was out this morn wi ma old dog and lurcher ground to hard for running on so checked a few earths but nowt doing! role on christmas holidays il be out every day.
  5. hi mate it was bred by a good freind of mine its essentially worker to worker, this is how ithink she made predomintley collie grey with flicker of bull and flicker of deerhound i cant go into fractions as pickle ma heed haha, she's doing all i ask day and night, how you find the borders fo working? just brought mines bk from beating line today and il be doing a little pest control tomo cheers

  7. nice dogs mate, you would be better looking in the forestry for earths tho mature trees like that they will be under them atb
  8. in ma opinion a stag would be more dangerous through the rut due to the adrenalin and testosterone pumping through there veins, they are highly aware of there surroundings and enemys ( other stags, dogs, people) this making them a great deal more dangerous than at other times of year

  11. most crosses will cope with moor land, the collie cross used to do me for the blue hares. atb

  14. ive seen problems like this before in edinburgh area, deer being killed and not taken just left to rot some killed wi dog and some shot, never found out who was behind it or see anybody dodgy looking around the area. hope it settles down before your season starts dont need these kinda cnuts disturbing yer birds tae cheers
  15. worked borders in beating line for over 10 years, and have put spaniels to shame on many ocassions good thick coats for geting in about brambles and thick jaggy cover, not so good on retreiving. atb

  18. ive got 2 borders 1 from working lines with no papers and 1 with, 1 without is a 11 year old dog who does everything said above, gets stuck, kills his quarry he started going good at about 2 year old mark, as for the the kc bitch she is 14 months a small bitch and has shown good interest at a couple of digs towards end of season. another point about borders is there good all rounders ratting, beating, rabbits etc i also make the point it doesny matter about papers as its the dog who decides weather going to do job or not!
