    How many lurchers had you had before you decided on a bull x? How long had you been into hunting before you got him? Had you any experience with this x?     bull xs are far from braindead and ive seen more than enough retreive rabbits live to hand and seem to know when they need to use there jaws sometime they can need to be ruled with a bit of hard discipline at times but that depends on individual temprement mine have never been broken to stock yet know that i dont want them to attack them when were out with the terriers and will let sheep and other stock round them they just know whats required from them and there not to be killed . its just a case of spending time with em and they tune into there owners some bull xs are owned by idiots and the

    sometimes showing a dog too many stop enders can get a terrier interested in the shovel too much rather than going to ground and finding for them selves just my opinion like ive said before natural born earth dogs are few and far between

    did you try same earth with a tryed an tested dog was ther something in there to start with sometimes its hard for a terrier to find in certain eaths thats when a good nosed dog comes in to its own, and wouldnt recommend doubling the dog up tho i must admit that in the past ive done this but i admit its not a good idea has dogs can get killed doing this all i can say is keep taking the dog to earths and sooner or later the penny will drop and the dog will start finding .

    Not taking a dig at you Saskia, but saying that, you will help or even judge at a show in April?! Think the problem is that people take show too serious. It can be a good day to meet people and have some fun that day, but the worth of a dog can only be determined by judging his true working abillity. At a show the only thing that can be judged is the construction of a dog nothingg more nothing less. So with a workingdogshow is nothing wrong in my opinion as long as people see it in the right perspective. See it as a nice day out other than a true evaluation of your dog as being a true
