  11. Well, i really like big game. We spend Oct to Dec bowhunting for whitetail deer. First week of Nov is our annual shotgun hunt for deer. This is a lot of fun. All the neighbours, about a dozen of us get together and chase the deer all week. We usually get 15 to 20 in that time. It's basically a cull to try and cut the numbers down. August is Bear hunting time. Me and my youngest boy prefer our 12ga for this. My oldest boy uses his .270. We do a little bit of rabbit hunting after deer season but the snow usally gets too deep by Feb. There's plenty of ducks and geese but we don't hunt

  13. What did the signs say exactly? they were nt put up by farmers/keepers they were put up by the Calendar coursing club on their permission to keep others from poaching their permission. All along the A47 Peterborogh through to Wisbech both sides of the road and as gonzalez mentions slightly further north on the fens Y.I.S Leeview they dont course at brigg scunthorpe an i seen em here
  14. my personal opinion is its due to the ground that has been broken up by the foxs feet on vegitation and suddenly changes direction.i read some thin bout police tracker dogs and they scented and tracked mainly through ground that had been broken by foot fall could hounds not hunt and scent in this manner coupled with scent off foxs feet . just a thort :hmm:

  18. pressure equals sscared fox more scent from glands or more scent through higher activety like most animals not sure if foxs sweat tho but there`l be hundreds of factors that go in to it i would imagine y.i.s. fido How come the dogs can be screaming on fox, until he gets headed, especially if he gets a fright and dogs cannot hunt him from that point. not sure what headed means new to hounds .so no irea what you mean i hunt terrier and lurcher pal
