It works out at a 9.8ah which is just short of a 10ah battery. I bought one myself to try it out. It powers the secondary bulb on my culite lamp which i think is a 12v 5w bulb but not the 12v 55w main bulb. I reckon this is due to a thermal cut out switch within the battery pack. Hope this helps.

Judges for Ballywalter Game Fair
Dazzam replied to AlbertJ's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
It's a total disgrace the torrent of abuse Rose has had to take here on this thread. Some lurcher folk need to go and take a good look in the mirror. It's the same names cropping up time after time and most of them don't have a set of swingers to put their real names to any of their posts and the laughable thing about it is many of them claim to work lurchers. Wise up the lot of you. This thread ought to be deleted never mind locked. Darren -
I use a mk3m but have an 8ft mk1 for backup. Both cracking bits of kit. I prefer the mk3 as it gives me a bigger range of distance as on some big burrows it sometimes took ages to loctae the ferret using the 8ft mk1.

Great Game Fairs of Ireland racing update
Dazzam replied to AlbertJ's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
The problem is that some people know what the breeding of their dogs are, and not being whippets, they have raced them as whippets. As for Paris and Ernie their owners know they are not whippets yet raced them as whippets. I have nothing against Martin or Deidre so i'm not personally attacking them. A lot depends on how the show is worded when advertised. Tango is right that it needs to be sorted out before the showing and racing season comes around or it'll still be debated about after every show. At the All Irelands this year the biggest racing class was the whippet class with approx. 6 or -
Great Game Fairs of Ireland racing update

Martin, There were quite a few non peds brought over from England before Ernie but because they did'nt make the height they were sent back over. I believe it's totally unfair to run a non ped against kc whippets, registered or unregistered. As you rightly say the non ped will win every time. Do Roscrea cater for the smaller dogs? and if not do they intend to cater for them in the future? I guess that's one for Shane to answer. Up the Beam(Glen), Yes i hope to get to a number of shows this year and race a wee non ped. From the day i got the pup i have been open and transparent with her br -
daz can i ask what your goin to race this year mate A non ped whippetxgreyhound. Hopefully she'll stay under 21". At 8 months she is 20 3/4". She was bought to be a wee rabbiting dog and to race at the odd show. Some people will argue that it's a longdog and not a lurcher depending on who's definition you choose as to what a lurcher is. In my opinion anyone who seriously wants to compete at the lurcher racing needs non ped whippet/greyhound blood. Could this perhaps be interpreted as the 'lurcher racing' at gamefairs is being taken too seriously? Surely 'lurcher racing' should be

I don't think it's the "LURCHER" people who are cheating !! Far from it.. I think most LURCHER people are avoiding the so called "Lurcher racing" because it's been taking over by people who only have winning in mind, and are using race bred Non-Ped Whippets and unregistered Greyhounds !! The working Lurcher, that does a winters graft, and then has a run at a show in the summer, now has NO chance against these dogs; so please don't accuse the LURCHER owners of cheating !! Cheers. Race bred Non-Ped Whippets make excellent working dogs also.

Not a favourite warren but a secret place. I reckon most of us who ferret when we come upon a good piece of ferreting ground try to keep it to ourselves.

Hi forrest gump Its not just weather the dog is running to his owener or running for the lure i seen i dog get hurt because of somone standing at the finsh line last year at shanes castle.just saying would be alot safer to stand at the side line and wait till the dogs had finshed not only that there is a bit of a dip were they race at shanes castle and the dogs lose sight of the lure for a few seconds would hate to see the dogs looking up to find it again to see a man waveing and shouting were there heading for . Sammy i witnessed this also but the fella was actually a spectator

Hi dazzam It just seemed like he was the only one doing it . And yes maybe when the show dates are put up for everyone to see maybe the rules shound go up with it so that everyone knows were they stand more so now with everyone doing the whippet racing there own way . I personnally think he knows that the young fella is a far better slipper than him as he has admitted it on tv. Just look at him, he's almost bald, blind, ugly and a bundle of nerves, for peace sake my granny would do a better job at slipping than him

Here's a no brainer, over the course of the year:- Under 21" will be won by a non ped with greyhound blood Under 23" will be won by a non ped with greyhound blood Over 23" will be won by a non ped with greyhound blood or possibly an umarked greyhound In other words anyone who wants to compete at the lurcher racing needs to keep an eye on the K9 non ped section to see whats being bred

Any dog that is winning races against other well bred racing dogs on a regular basis isn't running to it's owner at the end of the lure. Can't see why anyone organising a race wouldn't want someone at the end of the race catching a dog whether it is the owner or not unless it is a dig at someone. The non-peds have rules for how races are run, but over here each club or organiser runs it the way they want maybe thats were alot of the problems arise.

Just bought one of these to modify, I will let you know how i get on. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-9800mAh-Super-Rechargeable-Lithium-Battery-LED-Strip-Wireless-Camera-/250918145480?pt=UK_Home_Garden_PowerTools_SM&hash=item3a6be30dc8 If all goes to plan a 9.8AH lithium battery for under £30

9800miiliamps is 9.8 AH, also seen a 15000milliamps (15 AH) for £49

Does anyone know if the battery below could be used as a lamping battery. If so it would be a cheap lithium battery. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-9800mAh-Super-Rechargeable-Lithium-Battery-LED-Strip-Wireless-Camera-/250918145480?pt=UK_Home_Garden_PowerTools_SM&hash=item3a6be30dc8
