They may make their minds up without us, but with the number of us that are on this site alone it would make sence to fill it in, Only takes a fraction of the time that any off us spend on hear each day! I filled mine in a few weeks ago along with everyone else I could collar at work. In the rural comunities it is going to cost a fortune. especially now that they have go rid of all the small local shops and PO. It may help, you never know. Look how much the police dont police the hunting ban, they now how many people support it? Its not just a tax, its another case of big brother, they will

Good point, I was onnly going by what Vet said! agree that they are not human, was just trying to stop someone makeing same mistake I did when I thought my dog needed a working dog mix that was high in protien. made the misassumption that it was protien they needed for energy, fats sound good. Its what they get from the meat I guess rather than protien. :thumbs-up: I think the main thing has to be to keep it balanced.

Smallmouth, surely you have heard the saying ' Size isnt everything' What a beautiful looking dog, she is an absolute stunner. Like the misc catch, oldest bitch is a bit like that.

Bit of De ja vu going on here! had this discussion on new years I believe DS didnt enlighten us then either about DOB Weve seen the before shots, do we get to see the after ones ?

plenty of carbohydrates, be careful of the too high protien mixes. One of my dogs had a problem with it and made her do nodding dog routine, really worrying, If you use (dare i say) dry food use a good balanced one and top off with meat/ fish etc. My too girls try and eat the tins before I get them out of the bag from asda (tuna in spring not salt/brine) Half a tin in each bowl with their regular stuff and they are great on it. They do get a lot of other stuff, bunnies, bits from butcher, venision scraps, etc I am lucky enough to have a good sized garden and they do a race track around the

Yeah some of it is a bit silly, but even in the short while I have been on you soon start to realise who the wallies are! Freedom of choice means that you just have to ignore the rubbish and from what I have seen and experienced when threads do start to get a bit silly at least you can resort to pms to have a decent discussion with someone and leave the wallies behind. There is a lot of good and I think with policing the site too heavily some less experienced people could be excluded. If a sensible debate/discussion is called for than usually the prats disappear. Ditto to everyone else, really happy for you and your dog. In reply to what more can you do, . . . . Get a bigger bed, for the dog to share with you Cant understand the mentallity of people who take other people belongings let alone taking part of someones family away. Dont know how I would deal with loosing my two. Happy days ahead for you both hopefully. :thumbs-up: One good thing is that at least with the fine it hopefully stops no genuine people from collecting someone elses dog.

Not sure what area of the country you are in, Im down in cornwall, Locally from the farmers, they will sell half a pig for between 60p and 75p Lb, they are good sized pigs half pig was 113Lb, even given the head for free, had to fight the dogs off to have some left for making brawn. Might be dearer up country, dont know. The local farmer is able to feed his very cheaply however as he has access to dump milk. Great proper pork though! one chop nearly took up a whole plate. At the end of the day pop into your local asda etc and see what they charge, if it is similar then you are onto a wi

Little light red oval shaped things?
FPO replied to Hob&Jill's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
In line with the fitting thing, I had a dog that had 'Turns' Not full on fits but would do a shakeing head routine, could distract her and keep her out of it, Vet diagnosed it as ' a post hipatic shunt' (not spelt correctly) down to the diet and too much protien, body wasnt filtering it right and shunting too much to the brain. Changed the diet to less protien and didnt have problems after that. Long term it isnt advisable and worried the f out of me. Told to aim for more Carbohydrates for stamina than protein. -
The Kennels are not as bad as everyone says, they are secure and dry. on both visits to his place all the dogs and pups were outgoing and friendly. Admitidly the areas around the yards are scrap yards not the best of images but he wasnt trying to sell us cars! He is always happy to show you around and give you time, Pups were on clean dry bedding. Interesting thing was on our first visit I was trying to twist husbands arm to pick up a second pup at the same time, If he had been an unscrupleless dealer he would have happily taken us for double the money, instead he put me straight and adv

relief milker for a 450 canadian holstien herd which milks 3 times a day! usually milk for them 6 times a week. And in my spare time I am also an adminstrator for National trust , Spend most of my time trying to keep the boss of the computer, hes great with his plants but give him a computer and the whole network crashes!! Its taken about 2 years but he finally leaves the important stuff to me! The title administrator also covers building sheds, plumbing in water systems, plant husbandry and anything else my boss doesnt want to do Typical day today, I had to figure out how to download

There is an add trader down here, but as mole trapper said, Cornish Gaurdian is definately your best bet. Farm work is also quite a good oportunity down here -farmers often willing to put your caravan on their ground, but beware they will get their moneys worth!! Maybe try one of the farming, milking agencies? Itsmymarket.com is a site that has just started up around our area, it also covers other parts of the UK, might be worth a glance 08457433343 should get you through to the car adds dept of CG but they should be able to transfer you through and order copies to be posted to you. Presume your dog is probably in outside kennel? and just trying to let you know that it is missing you ? Not much consolation I know when you and no doubt neighborghs are kept awake. Guess you have probably tried putting a radio on for company? Otherwise the only other solution is to let it have its own way ! In the house and probably tucked up in bed with you ( Got to admit it was the only way we managed to get the first dog to be house trained at night!) Spents several weeks cleaning mess up at 3am (when I went milking) to come home at 9 and find another mother load In desperation

wouldnt bother! know i will get stick over this, however after seeing a video clip of someone experimenting with it on themselves, there is no way I could use one on my dogs. The highest power setting had him trying to claw it off! He was testing it out as a dare

Friend of ours up pub has this firey 2 year old, Called Sparky! Fits his nature plus his owners an electirician Must be one of the smallest dogs that comes into the pub but oh boy does he make the most noise! There is often up to 10 dogs in at any one time and he would take the lot on in one go

Now had our boy for getting on 6 years from first litter we bred. Had him vasectomised and have never had any problems at all. :thumbs-up: Didnt cost as much as £50 but cant remember how much. All I will advise is that you see a vet who will class a ferret as working animal, not an exotic pet! Had a quote from one person and that was around the £100 mark. Interesting thing happens now is that all are friends want to rent out his services!!! for thier gills. He has a holiday and the women, we get the pint Plus I know it sounds daft, but make sure they realise that you dont mean castr

Im a shepherd (dont know if they mean German or a Collie) Guess they both kinda fit!! Think I would have prefered to be a poodle Going for the ankles sound like more fun than chasing after car tyres

Nice idea! could fancy trying this myself, with a bit of tyme chopped in with the flour maybe? chuncky chips and maybe cranberry, balsalmic and sage sauce (easy to make!) 4 tbs cranberry sauce, 3 balsalmic vinigar and good tbs of chopped sage, mixed together and heated up, lovely if you have a sweet tooth!! Got it from my friend Delia!

Get real full fat milk! you must be joking we arent allowed that over here!! Closest you get to proper milk in the shops is jersey milk. but compare that with the jersey milk in milk tanks and even that doesnt compare holstien milk straight from the tank and left to stand has a good dollop of cream on the top, you wont find that on Full fat milk in supermarket. Along the going off lines, has anyone else noticed that semi skimmed milk appears to go off quicker than full fat milk? on the few occasions that we have had to buy it, it never seems to stay fresh as long as full fa

Can understand why you wife worries, other kids can be pretty rotten (i was bullied for 10 years because i once had nits!) However, glad he enjoyed himself and like everyone else has been saying dont think 5 is too young, My Husbands boy was out with us when he was that age admittedly they got a bit board but 19 Now and still remembers the things he did then and enjoys the memories of special time with Dad. Your son will no doubt soon learn that there are some kids/adults in this world that are daft, they only want to watch telly or play on computer and miss all the fun that is ou

Hugh F.W has some good recipes in river cottage cookbook fairly simple to,the stock/gravy made of the roasted carcasses is spot on!!!!! Recommend you try the pitta bread receipe from hugh, if you like garlic make garlic and honey dressing to go over the sliced fried pigeon and salad. Very quick and easy better than steak pittas . Know this is old listing, but could someone tell me what Spunds are? never heard of that one!

Anyone out there ever tried making Pate from rabbits liver?? If not why not! Usually dogs or ferrets get the livers before the rabitt even reaches kitchen, but the other week I managed to get my hands on a few of the fresh livers and made them up with a chicken pate recipe I found. If you like pate, dont miss the chance. Havent experimented with the recipe much yet, but will no doubt add a few extras when i next get some bunny liver. Interested to hear of any other ideas along this line.
