Stunning amazing pic! what a photographer I've just bought an olympus E300, and am saving now for a decent zoom lens before I can get anything close to that! I missed FOUR woodpeckers (Spotted) at a time on my feeders last year, and was totally gutted but ony had a really pants little digi camera anyway. Cant wait to get snapping! Hurry up matie, sure everyone would love to see some of your pictures

Same here Fab birds I remember once whilst chatting on the phone to a friends Hubby i was looking tru my Kitchen window and i screamed "Oh my Gawd Tom i've got about 10 longtailed Tits hanging orrrfff me Nuts" Well you can only imagine the reply Good capture matie

Really sad news Not only have I co-judged with the man, Ive coursed in Northumberland with him and some of his friends from his book Lurchers and Longdogs, Perry Fairfax and Basil Smalley..A real GENTLEMAN in every sense of the word.. RIP

Should have had them off a lot earlier matie, if the dog is now 6 months, I wouldnt bother..Ive coursed with whippets and small lurcher crosses, and even pure deerhounds with dew claws on, no problems..but given the choice, take them off when their in the nest...

Dont use Canon gear, but have Nikon with Vibration Reduction, I always switch this off when photographing moving objects.
