this is my first dog of my own but i used to go out with my brother and his dogs a long time ago and i started taking her out about 9-10 weeks old but i don't know if there is any special way of getting them to go in the bushes but i cant understand that she does go in the bushes but no all the time she has caught a few rabbits thinks its about 5-6 shes had this year so she is game when she sees a rabbit but obviously not enough it just makes me think i cant do anymore and i just start getting annoyed with her so i just call it a day and go home i take her out everyday for a few hours

Right ive been on here a lot and asked alot of questions some stupid maybe but thats what you get when your a young one stating on your own! anyway im getting Really frustrated with my dog she is a lakeland x patterdale terrier and she is nearly 12 months old I went out with her today and by god i could feel my blood boiling she is just such a lazy c**t all im after her doing at the moment is bush for rabbits and whatever else moves like rats or stoats ect but there is no way she is gonna do that i keep saying to myself you have to go in the bushes to f*****g find something you daft bitch

anyone fancy having a tag a long doing a bit of bushing have got my own bit of permission but don't take long to get round to be honest but anyone is more than welcome to join me there perhaps if they have a young terrier or something they would like to start or anyone in the essex area got a bit that i could join them on cheers

yer i usually feed mine raw lamb with some dry food some days then raw chicken with dry food but dont sound like lambs the best so i assume that beef is the one to go for then. and about the fish its ok to give mine a whole raw mackerel and the bones will be fine year

Great post and everything but that has just put a right downer on me and my dog im must of been doing something wrong she 12 months in september.dont get me wrong she is game and everything when were out doing a bit of bushing she uses here nose very well but the problem i have with her is that she will go in the bush but is slow if you know what i mean ive seen dogs go in bushes and work em really well! not mine she seems to go through them rather slowley not sure why! also if she chases after a rabbit soon as it enters a bush she will stop not entering the bush unless i manage to catch up wi

Hi all just got back from vet £50 down due to harvest mites anyone else had this with their dogs and is this a problem that can persit. I had only noticed this as went to take my dog out today and and she was limping then when i took a closer look at it, it was inbetween her dew claw as she started to yelp and bite me there was these orange looking things they were also in her snout so then took her to vets then he want to have a look so she tried biting him too lol but few jabs and a spray later they should go apparently just wondered if anyone else has had this with their dog or other mites

Yer true! But as I said I am on my own so still learning the people I got her from work there dogs to what standard I don't know but as I said she does look keen and I got to try and start somewhere so I'd thought if my dog was good well in my eyes I'd like to have one of her litter as then I know what to expect from her side and then by mateing her with another good line I should expect a good litter.

she just turning a year old AND BEFORE YOU ALL SAY YES I KNOW SHE IS WAY TO YOUNG i would even think bout breeding her yet and if i do shes not gone to ground if that what you talking bout but she has run a few out though so in my eyes that shows me she is keen but as im own my own and do my hunting on my own it will prob take a bit longer than normal and she also likes bushing. if she had pups i would keep 1-2 of them for myself and the rest id either practaily give them away to either people i know that will have them and do right with them or id see if people on here would like them and
