  1. another day out with the ferrets took my terrier but that was not a great idea well it was and wasn't hard work I must say. if she wasn't trying to kill the ferrets or just whines all the time coz I've tied her up but then it's good to have her as when a rabbit gets caught I let her finish it of but anyway back from the day out with 3 rabbits not bad for my second ever time Got a question anyone got any tips on keeping my nets untangled while out.
  2. cheers thanks still got to get to grips with it its the changing lens which is a pain in the butt cause by the time you change you have missed the shot

  4. it was my first time out this morning with a gill that i got i left my two males at home and on my own 3 got away but we got one in then end which was good but another one was still in the warren as i see it come to the net it then saw me an ran back but for some reason my jill couldnt find it but she was not so keen after i killed one and gutted it and hung it up while waiting but i think she lost intrest as she could smell the one i killed is this more than likely
  5. cheers for all the info people much appreciated!
  6. Cheers mate I'll try that as I was letting them come to me and trying to let them come onto my hands but they would come to my hand and then look like they just sniffing then all of a sudden wham latched on! But the knuckle sounds good as that shouldn't hurt as much and as you say bit uncomfortable for them too.
  7. Not done ant digging before but good luck lads;)
  8. I'm not being funny pernod 10 week or not the Jill was so aggressive when biting can't really see you wanting to pick something up that was that aggressive. I don't think I need to man up at all it's just instinct not wanting to hold something that just bit you!!! the hob was not to bad when he bit me I could handle that as he was not that aggressive.
  9. not being funny i dont really want to handle them again im not makeing a mountain out of a mole hill but she f**king latched on good and proper mate might just wear gloves
  10. hi all got three ferrets now one jill two hob and one of the hobs bite and is aggressive when he bites and so is the jill bites and man the little bitch would not let go 10 weeks old and it latched onto me started to shake its head and it went until i squeezed her tail she let go but that did f*****g hurt to be fair and now to be honest i don't really want to pick any of them up now ive tried that bitter apple stuff one word for that shit any help appreciated
  11. you'll probably get flack for getting an animal and then trying to work out what do feed them, most people do that before they get the animal! Any raw meat except pork or processed meat with added salt. If giving cooked meat make sure there's no bones in it. Some people give dry ferret food, opinions differ on this....I've found it makes ferrets fat but that's just my experience of it, other people are happy with it. Cat and dog food doesn't have the right levels of protein for ferrets and has other additives they can't digest. Liver, kidney and eggs fine in small quantities. Don't gi
