  21. a late freind of mine and my self we had large numbers most early doors on stubble we had 5 roe 12 hares one time on big land , but as they got ploughed the game got harder all roadsiding driving a hundred miles a nite on estates etc ,took thousands of heads of game , but once ploughed we;ll got harder and then when sown harder still if youre running easy little feilds big numbers can be taking in the scottish borders took over 3500 rabbs in one year dogs ferrets box traps . my mate baz gorton lamped the dales other lads cumbria he says it was no big deal to catch big bags in the eighties earl
  22. i ve had some of the finest dog men up to our kneck of the woods from as far as usa old d salmon who wrote gazehounds and coursing d slieght , several ,and what sport there had ,there no stock fences tite hedges just big woods with feild to feild inbetween , just great running , and ive been blessed with growing up in it and having dogs to suit ,there no hidden agendas with me if its agood dog its agood dog end off , stuble time most lurcher will do alrite once its ploughed sown then a better class of dog needed
  23. we had the collie type years ago andy but couldnt hack it mate on hare after hare in the day or nite driving stubble after stubble thats why we put the finest coursing dogs to good collie crosses ,and the less collie the better eighth, more chance of mugging hares on lamp early doors ,get them jan feb even in lamp mate after they have had a birl or two you need a real handy dog andy i mean bring a dog in winter youll see and if they do well im the first one to shake mans hand as the seasom moves on the game gets more wiser but more sporting ,we run single handed as yo get cleaner kills etc bes
