  6. longdog is two diffrent sighthounds breed together. yes ur right have long back . but where did beddy whippet come in there not even in the same planet as a sighthound or longdog at winter hare,s but i did read there best deer courser,s than any other breed if deer is penned up in a phone box i used the beddy whippet cross as an example to show the differences between the length of back i know what breeds come in to form a longdog i've kept enough of them where do you get off with your sarky comment about them doing deer in a phone box you plank if you had read my post corr
  7. imo a longdog or the term long dog is just a name given to lurchers wih a long back and is more often used to describe hare coursing dogs whereas the smaller types ie beddy whippet crosses etc which are shorter in the back are not put into the category as a longdog but are 2 of the same thing at the end of the day lurchers
  8. do you feed them in the morning before you take them out a small feed in the morning before going out lessens the chances of the ferrets staying and eating the rabbits
  9. where did you come across it and where would i get one
  10. i prefer to set the cord tight to the bottom ring this insures only the top ring pulls down when the rabbit hits causing a faster purse and less escapees
  11. i have hw97k that i have just bought and with the exception of weight it is an extremly accurate rifle to own i havent had the pleasure of firing a prosport so cant comment on that but hopefully i will be spending a day shooting with another member who has a prosport and maybe through the day we could compare the 2 together also like to add any advice given by zini is more than worth taking in as from posts i have read from him the information and knowledge he has on air rifles is unbeatable from what i gather

  13. as above this way is best and cheapest this is the way i made my fox trap
  14. personally i wouldnt waste my time with these shock collers and if anybody needs one its probably because they are giving the dog commands without letting the dog know what you want it to do and think that giving the dog a shock is going to help imo if the dog doesnt know what you want it to do then nothing and no collers will help
  15. i'm not being funny here but ppl are worried about atis on the site and statements like this dont really help do they? let the dog heal fully before taking it back out and it will settle eventually

  17. not sure but i definatley wouldnt put a dog to ground while its tender its more likely to cause the dog to throw in the towel if it gets a bleaching on top of unhealed wounds just my oppinion
  18. at the end of the day this is a hunting forum and we are doing a traditional way of controlling fox numbers and if carried out within the law then why should we worry about sharing days out with a few pics fair enough if the dog has took a bleaching we dont want antis having fuel against us so dont post pics of dogs that are a bit worse for wear but why be afraid to post pics of a catch after all this is a site for hunters created by hunters so why the fook are we bothered what antis think if users from other countries can post pics of badger digging then whats to stop antis taking those
