  1. I'm an ex Copper. With the amount of Equal Ops and Diversity training Officers have rammed down their throats these days theres a high probability its true. Sad but true.

  4. Read my post closer dickhead - I can't look after the pup if I'm not at home can I ? Perhaps I should just keep the pup and remain penniless ? Would that suit you ? Don't be so quick to jump to conclusions
  5. Despite constantly looking, I've been without a "proper" job since the start of the year and got my lurcher pup to give me something to do and a reason to get out of bed in the morning. I've been putting in loads of time and effort with her and shes coming on lovely. I've been wishing her life away looking forward to running her next season and seeing how good she will be. Then yesterday out of the blue I was offered a brilliant job with good pay which I just can't turn down. Only trouble is it involves regularly travelling all over the UK at short notice, lots of overnight stays and irregul

  7. They're all easy to set if you know what you're doing.
  8. I'm in the same boat. My 4 month old pup lives in part of the conservatory which we've partitioned off. We were out for 2 hours on Sunday evening and came back to find she'd got over the partition and trashed the rest of the conservatory. So I'm in the process of sorting out some exterior accomodation for her. Today I bought a 6x4 shed from Homebase for £109 which with a bit of modification will be her kennel and tomorrow I'll get some run panels from the local timber merchant. Job done and half the price of a fancy all in one kennel/run. She'll still be inside with us when we're around but w
  9. Ah the old Celtic myth again. You need to get up to date with modern genetic research. The "Celts" were not a people from the Hungarian/eastern plains who swept west to settle western europe. The Celts lived in southern France/northern Spain as described by Caesar. They traded extensively with the western side of the British Isles and indeed some may have even settled here. However to describe the ancient inhabitants of Britain as "celtic" is now known to be totally wrong. There was never a big "Celtic" invasion of Britain and nor were "Celtic" people pushed to the West by the advancing S
  10. Roxy the kids don't torment her - most of the time they totally ignore her and just play with their mates but she won't leave them alone. Whippetlad thats what they've been trying to do but it doesn't seem to be working. I think they're going to have to take a harder line with her. I can't let it continue like this.
  11. Wondering if anyone can give me some advice on my pups behaviour which is causing a lot of aggro at the minute. She's constantly jumping up on my 2 kids (8&5) and biting their clothes, putting holes in everything. The kids are getting pissed off with her cos they want to play in the garden with their mates and every time they start running around the pup gets hyper, starts growling and chasing them and starts biting. I can't keep her locked up away from them all the time. So far my eldest has had 5 t-shirts and 2 pairs of trousers ruined and my youngest 2 t-shirts and a pair of trousers.
  12. Uncanny that. Your dog is exactly how I imagine my pup is going to turn out. Same colour and everything.
  13. Due to the current financial situation caused by the slowdown in the economy, the Government has decided to implement a scheme to put workers aged 50yrs and above on early retirement. This scheme will be known as RAPE (Retire Aged People Early) Persons selected to be RAPE'd can apply to Parliament to be considered for the SHAFT program (Special Help After Forced Termination) Persons who have been RAPE'd and SHAFT'ed will be reviewed under the SCREW program (Scheme Covering Retired Early Workers) A person may be RAPE'd once, SHAFT'ed twice and SCREW'ed as many times as the Government dee

  18. The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent terrorist threats and have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A bit cross". The English have not been "A bit cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies all but ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to "A bloody nuisance". The last time the English issued a "Bloody nuisance" warning level was during the Great Fire of 1666. The Scots raised their threat level from "F**k off!" to "Lets get the b******s". They don

  20. Thanks for the heads up on the free websites, I'll look into those. Trappa most of my jobs tend to be small local ones and that is reflected in the price as I could walk or cycle to most of them if I wanted to. Should I have to travel further afield then it's a different matter. I tried higher prices initially but didn't get the work. Folks round here don't seem to be particularly desperate to get rid of moley.
  21. i'm glad mine bites it stopped him getting nicked True enough I suppose
