Its after reading your threads that I decided to give it a go, and the help and advice I received from you has been invaluable, should name and shame the guy and then hopefully he'll sell no more, serve the twat right! Not what a forum is all about in my opinion
Thankyou Matt, started the one I showed you, just needs the scales now, then its on to proper steel, so Ill be taking you up on your kind offer for heat treating and tempering. Ill stick a pic up when Ive finished this one
Well finally finished the knife and Im rather pleased with the outcome. What started out as an old saw blade has been recycled into something completely new and individual

Cheers Matt going to set about getting it finished today with lots of sanding and polishing, has turned out better than I expected and now I dont want to use it
yeah a great bunch on here, have had loads of help and advice hopefully the next pics will be of the finished knife. Have already started another while I was waiting on the handle material for this one
well the buffalo horn finally arrived so heres a couple of pics of the progress so far, need to get it all glued up and then on to the final shaping , sanding and polishing.
Yes Matt I used some 3mm pins just to secure it , its glued aswell but thought it would help hold it all together with a nice tight fit. As for giving you a run for your money, I dont think you have anything to worry about, I wouldnt have a clue where to start when forging my own
thanks guys after following advice from "midnight" and "gafer" off here Im going for a black buffalo horn handle. Then lots of polishing to get it all as scratch free as I can
