Why would any club group or association need to be part of COH , Obviously for a voice in numbers and a seat in C/A but there are plenty of small groups. clubs and associations that use dogs, Raptors. ferrets, terriers, guns to hunt that are not members of the Council of hunting or the C/A it would give a louder voice no doubt but many individuals and groups are independent. Also many who follow country sports rather work alone than join the groups. these loners and small independent groups are just as important as the bigger organised clubs and an association is just that a group of like min -

Yes ,Giro felt aggrieved at being left out of the original steering group may be rightly, I thought Rob(DEWCLAW69) and Giro resolved the problem apparently not. Rob thought the bad feeling would not help to move things on so he withdrew from the steering committee of LAGBI as to why and wherefore only Giro and Rob could answer fully if they were of a mind to. What were the reasons for not having giro on the steering commitee, after all he started the ball rolling so to speak? I dont know mate i was a temporary seat warmer when I think either Sandymere or Trenchfoot came on board I g -

But nothing is established yet is it mate, this thread was started to create interest on the club and now clubs wasn't it surly when it or there up and running things may be as you say.. There was a much longer and detailed thread posted originally when Lagbi first came from an idea mooted by Giro Then Dewclaw69 got on board plus lots of others. ALC then rose like a phoenix and Lagbi was formed so it moved on to a steering group for Lagbi a meeting was arranged with C/A then ALC revealed a new name AWLL and rolled out its committee or at least blew off the cobwebs, So it was much furthe -

Sandymere do you understand the response ?was it relevant to the question you asked, as everyone now appears to have ignored any semblance of protocol are we now discussing everything on the open forum?if so it must apply to all. subjects and discussions. I always thought committees and groups were selected or elected to make decisions on behalf of a group but it seems to be a new way to just post and discuss.then criticise for washing dirty linen in public or bringing the lurcher group into disrepute really must be something I have missed. -

What questions if any have you had ignored , or could you hi light some that in your opinion have been ignored. You have made a very broad statement about your observations would you care to expand on them for the benefit of all interested parties? -

The meeting with AT needs to take place asap if only to stop the constant sniping. Even should the meeting be unproductive at least we can agree to disagree and move on , I am certain all want to bring about changes for the better so if AT is available what is his response to the invitation. -

To change Government policy or change Governments takes millions. To change public perception and educate regards working dogs takes only a few with good intentions and the right ideas and support the old ways have been tried and didnt achieve what was needed .Now support Lagbi they appear to be a new force to change public perception and awareness regarding lurchers and their owners.. -

Lagbi from reports seem to also have mustered a large amount of support . Was the proposed meeting between Alan Tyer and LAGBI supposed to be a stepping stone towards progress or has this now been removed from AWLL agenda as LAGBI steering group informed they still consider it part of the way forward. -

Has LAGBI had any recent contact from Alan Tyer re the meeting between the two associations LAGBI and AWLL ? Isnt he supposed to be available after the 26th of October? All this peacock posturing and blowing ones trumpet isnt moving anything on one iota. is it. -

An extract from Lagbi,s meeting with the C/A report posted on here. Doesnt it put C/A and its own position into perspective over the last so many decades now they are ready to up their game. "The meeting with The Countryside Alliance on Wednesday went really well. Tim Bonner has agreed that more needs to be done by them to publicly support lurcher work," this is an extract posted by Trenchfoot on this topic near the begining, regarding the meeting of LAGBI and Tim Bonner of the C/A -

Selfishness led to this repugnant unenforceable ban being put into statute in the first place. Antis and lacs decided stop hundreds of thousands following generations long traditions be cause we dont like it. Tony Blair thought yes potential vote winner and it will distract peoples minds from the Middle East invasions. His wife who claims to be a champion of human rights and a international human rights lawyer remained silent may be for selfish financial reasons.Even Tony boy admitted it is a bad unenforceable legislation but when its been implemented and used to criminalise law abiding folk, -

Prehaps you should take a spoonful of your own medicine.. You are peddling your wares not me, why was the article only placed in CMW ? Members on THL who niether buy or read the said magazine were not given the same opportunity to read the article, still I suppose this is the all in it together angle and inclusivity for every ones opinions. -

For want of a better description I can think of one but lets call it misinformation and distortion of facts is going on, People have a modicum of sense and will wait to see what the truth of the matter is when all the facts are known not just believe anything anyone cares to write., -

A voice , you wont find anywhere else other then with Alan Tyler on the Council of Hunting, (COH ). You will be kept up to date with whats happening, you can come to us with Your concerns and ideas,we will listen. This started off as, "No one was fighting for Lurchers". Each faction has its own voice we DID NOT, and we need the public to see, lurcher work in a positive light.. It won't be easy but its far better to try, than never try at all. If we dont pick up the baton and run with it, we face loosing our heritage and the future of the working Lurcher/longdog will be all -

Just call it something else rather than a wasp and hornet trap, call it a plastic recycler with the added benefit that it sometimes traps flying insects . once the patent office respond you will know excactly what he has patented.
