  1. dont we all but some of us like to do it regular for a full season
  2. is it proven ?and i dont mean running hares in 4 inch of snow ???? PP dog can do the job it needs to its a young dog and can put them away Why would you be slipping it in snow? because he rran it through the season and an inch of snow on the ground means feck all why would you slip knee deep in daffodils What he did before hand is irrelevant to the question. That is not an inch of snow, it's more like three, and no hare can run properly in it. If you don't know that you don't know much. know a lot more than some one who thinks a hare cant run in a couple of inches of snow. , D

  6. jimbob you are full of shit the younger more natural dog men my arse , you sound like you wouldnt know which end to feed and your keen interests in minshaws are you one o0f the new genration of dog lads that knows it all why dont you talk to Minshaw and get it from the horses mouth or is he one of them old ones that knows feck all also.
  7. if your a proper coursing lad you run for the sport if you want fame and fortune the easiest way to do it is bull a dog up on the net and put it to stud. A real dogman would run what ever put up the challenge if you covered your juice money and got a breakfast out of it that should be enough, if the dogs good enough it will make its own name given time without all the hype, back biting and bull shit
  8. just get out and run your dogs on any land if they havent got the wind you can always get them lamping
  9. can I do your marketing? Please go on pwwwweeeeeeeease you wouldnt make a penny he gives the feckers away everytime
  10. 200 might be an over estimate but I and several other Hawk fliers were there and We saw more hares in a two hour period than most lads will have seen all season and that is fact not exageration,
  11. probably because go lamping once you have done it seen the film bought the book the tee shirt and the dvd.. At least daytime you can see mistakes lamping you just turn of the lamp its nearly as boring as fishing
  12. it would help also if they know a bit about coursing not like some who have been in the game 5 minutes
  13. strange you only hear of one or two of these well bred top drawer 4/4 5/5 coursing dogs that are 500 pounds plus a pup, what about the numorous other pups from these top litters have they been bucketed as Trotter said or have they been confined to the annuls of also rans. You pay what suits you, buy what suits you, train feed and run it how it suits you and feck the crabbing and back biting get out next September and put it on the land not on a computer screen
  14. bull mastiff do the job and good with kids
  15. I think it is more about fame and noteriety for some, obviously money will come into it down the line if a dog makes a name for itself either on the land or nowadays on the computer. Still some lads get out for the banter and the sport but a lot want to be famous lol
  16. why not just race tesco shopping bags on bits of string
  17. any one with a saluki cross should be a poacher if they arent, they are not doing it right,
  18. camplamper dont get a saluki it will make you look efeminate or like a puff
  19. the longer the slip the better , depends on the location as a lot of lads discard the long eared one anyway the course is more important to the courser if you are out for sport long slips the dog does the work and makes the ground. if you are pest control or want to fill th freezer then the gun is the tool but dont advocate shooting them like my running
  20. coursin under rules had its draw backs and its critics but this gave the opportunity for the alledged top coursing dogs and men the opportunity to get to organised meets and the dogs to show thier trade in front of plenty of people instead of the small private matches. most of the hounds came from across the water where they learnt thier trade as working coursers. The one benefit of coursing under rules was that things like kick ups and dodgy slips could be avoided and as is common in private matches lads avoiding slips that were not favourable to thier animal, unfortunately in the coursing wor
