Gods honest truth mate, I was aboot 13 at the time we started chasing the hares, never fookin caught any mind you, didn,t know what a lurcher was back then lol I suppose 3ft and 6ft were easy to mix up when you were 13.... Wrong on that count as well my friend, I trained that doberman to do everything a police dog would do, my first lurcher at my first gamefair entered into the high jump comp for the first time and came away with well I,ll let you guess, aboot 8 ft he went over, I can still remember

Don,t agree there bird, i have used both methods I mentioned, ragging and the jealousey thing One dog had no interest picking up the dummy so i took it out with another dog which did retrieve then the jealousy kicked in and the non retriever started picking up and didn,t want to put the dummy down,then once its interested take it from there, that dog turned out half decent at retrieving so that method works The collie x I have now was dropping the live rabbits at my feet and they were making a run for it, bring it back and so on, done a bit ragging with her and she now holds onto the

  6. once had a doberman when I was a laddie, broke its leg when it was a wee pup ( got hit with a car) Its leg was slightly squint as it grew older but this never hindered or bothered the dug in any way, he used to jump 6 ft plus nae probs, even used to course hares with him and my cousins doberman,aye they were the days lol
  7. Aye you never once said you were thinking about a collie x and mentioned beddy x,s a few times, must,ve had a change of heart when you seen my collie cur in action ha ha ha I was totaly shocked right enough, you,ve never said why the change of heart

Couple of things you could try, back to basic retrieving with a food reward and if she just point blank refuses you could try her along with another dog which doe,s retrieve dummys and hopefully the jealousy will kick in and she,ll start picking up and take it from there, I think skycat would be your best bet for advice mate, atb
  9. Try some ragging work with her, may help a little, a fun type game for the dog
