    Just thought i would tell you all about Freecycle for those who havent heard of it!! Freecycle is a site where you can register and give unwanted items away or get unwanted items. In the last week i have seen 3 chest freezers up for grabs fully working, Thought this might be of interest to THL members for game freezers. Also seen rabbit hutches, again thought of ferrets. Other bits have been TV's, washing mashines, even a cpl of cars!! Anyway Just something i thought i would put out there for you guys maybe to look into!! ATB Gaz

    Start knocking on farmers/landowners doors. If you see sheep in the road or anything you can use to strike up conversation use that it does help. You want to make sure you have the right insurance before you approach anybody. Do your research of the area and try hitting farms that are off the main road chances are the ones with easy access will already have people working the land. Dont get put off by people saying NO it will happen over and over again, but you will find something eventualy so stick with it and keep your chin up.

    Not really it took me months to get this permisiion dont really wanna be telling the land owner sorry i cant do it myself guna have to bring someone else in lol!! The land owner wouldnt let anyone on there for seven years so we are really lucky to have the opportunity. I can pick a load off with my rifle, its just a small section of the land that needs ferreting, thanks for the advice tho

    It's a load of bollox with the bradford rats i know a lad in ravenscliffe who apparently lived a couple of doors down from where they were spotted and he aint seen anything. Bradford T&A ran a story you can probably find it on net

    Getting alot of interest via PM's about this add!! Please try give as much detail as possible, size ( large can vary from brand ) in inches is preffered. How many pockets if any leather or fabric Also had interest in slip-leads which shouldn't be a problem.     My other half makes bags and is starting to make some game bags etc. She can make leather or cloth bags, any sizes. As many pockets as you want. Drop me a message with what you are wanting, even send a pic and we can get something very similar. Will put some pics up soon.     Thanks for the response. I have bought 10 nylon nets and found one hemp on my permission left by poachers ( Twats ). The nylon seem to be tangled already and we havent had them out to work yet. I started the box a couple of days ago, just needing to get hinges for them. Locator seems abit to much right now so will be sitting and waiting unless something cheap comes up for sale on here. What age do you normally start running them from? cheers for all the advice

    Good Morning, I'm looking for as much advice as possible surrounding ferrets and ferreting. I have never owned ferrets but have recently taken on two albino's (hobs) for a small piece of permission we have ( 20 acres ). We can mainly shoot and lamp however there is sections that we will need to use ferrets for safety reasons and due to the rabbits been so shy. I have read up some great stuff on here. Just looking for as much info as possible and advice. Really would appreciate as much input from as many of you that have experience or use them please Thanks for reading

    great work your doing, keep it up!! Might be worth seeing if you can get your hands on a rotivator for an hour or two certainly help with the manual side.

    Had my Boxer stolen 2 years ago, twats cleared my 7ft wall, grabbed her and ran!! She was microchiped and reported as stolen but no sign of her!! Thiefing b*****ds should get a job and work for it like the rest of us do!!

    Great advice stubby!! I have been checking you tube out for different ways to cook rabbit, think it was mark gilchrist or something, he soaked the rabbit in salt water for a cpl of hours, then cooked it for around two hours at which point the meat was that tender that it just fell off the bone. Definately worth having a watch if you can find it and highly recommended

    You might want to research things like Myximatosis on wikipedia, saves all the conflicting answeres!! Just to add i wouldnt be feeding disease to any animal i had nevermind eating it myself
