Lost my bitch today. Worked a fox for an hour at 3.5m. no drama , ready to dig to a steady mark. help at hand if I needed it..... cheers rat face. she wobbled out and fox wobbled out behind her. was in vets within the hour but ..... well job was over good little fox bitch in any company. Worst season I’ve ever had , now this ?!

Would a direct outcross not invigorate the pool. What I mean is put in qualities you want directly, a staff , beagle , Russell , glen , Sealyham is a complex mix at best. ATB ... T

I don’t know a lot about the breed , I’ve seen YouTube clips ratting. They are obviously all over rats . hundreds in a day... quick little dogs and don’t stay with dead ones,... and don’t scrap over em . I can’t understand the lack of outcross to expand , enhance , or whatever the polite word is . surely a good , small , tight Russel is perfect . talk of bedlington , Lucas ffs , I don’t get. if a Plummer is a Russell , beagle , Staffordshire surely a good Russell would increase the gene pool. ? I never met the man. read his books that’s all. I have and had friends who were active with the little dogs in his day. im yet to hear a good word. ive nothing against the Plummer terrier , not keen on the name , but more work has been done for the breed since he passed. again , just my opinion. T

If it came out of Plummer’s mouth , it’s a lie. if he was alive today he’d be banned from keeping dogs , and this site would be laughing at the pillock. his animal husbandry was appalling . there aren’t many people I dislike but that man lied , lied , copied and lied again . just my opinion T
