Aberthaw is looking good been a few 12lbs had all ready,most years you can catch schoolies all day in the summer use to live in St athan down there everyday bag full of golf balls and red gills is all you need.

Been looking through the free ads at ferrets ,both of mine are over 8 years old cant really breed any as i dont have the time because of health reasons (wife will kill me if i have more than a hand full)i live in Aldershot so seeing a price of £150 for 2 ferrets made me laugh every other one was well over £50 most i've ever payed is a fiver is there something going on i dont know about ?So what do you lot think is a good price for a ferret not really in to this working parents lark as i believe a ferret is a ferret but a decent health ferret what do you say? Be really chatty with the examiner ,when i did my test he got talking about the TA for the whole test and forgot to write anything down easy pass for me ,other than that dont mount the churb,good luck .

Its taken me 5 weeks to find some hunting land since i've moved house went ferreting today and every warren is full of baby fist size bunnys lost count of how many i bolted all to quick for the ferrets to ,must of done around 20 small warrens and didnt see one adult size rabbit thinking about lamping to night but its to bloody cold for me anyone else sacking it for this season yet.

Nice answer mate ,lucky for me all my warrens are max 10 holes so i dont have this trouble i can get away with sticking my arm up the holes on most of them ,think i knicked the top half of your avatar

Just a quick question if the ferret kills and stays with the rabbit locator or not you know you have a lay up , if the ferret kills and moves on quickly how the hell do you know if they have killed or not im not haveing that you dig down every time the ferret pauses for a second,so locator or not you're still going to leave dead rabbits,its just easyer to locate them with the ferret finder.sorry if im talking shit

If you can afford it get one ,most of the warrens i do are really small so didnt need one for years ,only thing is i havent got an excuse for being late home now

My first gun was a metor with no sights and im pretty sure it helped me shoot well ,when you move on to sights being able to point the gun in the right direction and hold the gun naturaly is a good starting point in shooting.

If your after a big ray try witchs point but take some one thats been there before or go on a calm tide or try stout point had loads of small eyed rays there.When it warms up go to Aberthaw and go for smoothhounds.

i've got an old fishing book and there useing what looks like a gaff but with a bit of wire from where the point would be and attachs to the handle some how it whips round the fish when you try to 'gaff' it i swear im not mad does anyone know what im on about?

Missing my sea fishing as ive moved to Aldershot so how about some pictures of your biggest fish ,not just boat caught shark but stuff from the shore.Mines this 28lb blonde ray from Ogmore deeps South Wales couple of years fought like a tesco bag but scared the shit out of me trying to gaff it at night.

I swear to god its not another squaddie bitching ,i'l put up with anything but when it affects my family its not on ive got 3 kids to deal with and i didnt need this happening ,we were offered no help what so ever not from the army welfare or my regiment .To make it worse ive lost all my ferreting ground (the wife is happy )so if anyone needs a hand give me a bell off work for the next 6 months all i can find round here is ash ranges but you can only get on there at certain times but round here is crawling with deer they are everywhere got them on the front lawn most mornings .

Over the past week i have been evacuated from my home due to rats, a sewer pipe cracked and my house was invaded after shooting and trapping 30 of them the army still would'nt move us out ,health and safety turned up and told us that we shouldnt be liveing here any way as the bath is sinking through the roof we have had no hot water for months and have to use the emersion and all the wireing through the house is f****d and water leeks through all the light fittings ,it took 3 days of ringing everyone we could think of till they moved us to a hotel where i have spent the last week they wanted
