  1. I think but am not certain that they both flap up to or around 300 beats a minute. I do use a random timer on mine but that is just personal preference and i find it works best for me.
  2. I have a turbo flapper and an ff5 flapper.I think they are both similar in action and i am happy using either of them with a dead crow on as a decoy.
  3. Well done on shooting a few. I take a barrow just in case you cannot get access with the 4x4. Makes taking them back to the transport a lot easier.
  4. Had to part with my Fourtrak about three months ago.Was going to cost me too much to get through the mot. Sold for scrap and they put it back on the road. Went everywhere i wanted it too it was a brilliant shooting bus. Just the rusting bodywork underneath that caused me to have to part with it. Really miss it even though i now have a Hilux.
  5. You keep finding a few to have a go at well done.
  6. A worthwhile day out for you and old ed. Nice to see you are still getting among them.
  7. Yes works fine.Shame there was not a lot of pigeons about to really see what it can do.
  8. Don`t panic yet.I ordered a ff5 in February and only got it two weeks ago.Think it was nearly 11 weeks in total.
  9. I have used them before and i put the wings in before fitting the cradle.
  10. Looks like you might be in for some nice fly fishing there Pete looking at the size of that fish.
  11. Hope you get among them pigeons again. Just read up on ff4 and going to order one.
  12. Good shooting i hope to be among some myself soon.Farmer supposed to be cutting maize game strips anytime now. What flappers are you using in picture.
  13. After a bit of bad luck for Les this morning getting a puncture. We eventually all met up for our first day on the geese of 2015. A windy night had left some of us still tired not getting much sleep. We got set up just before light and had to wait a while for the first geese to tempt us. Not too bad a day today weather wise and it was clear and sunny with a cool breeze. We got 6 Greylags today. Still a few geese about doing damage so we will be out again.
  14. A few of us braved the cold today some better than others. Although it stayed fine and dry this morning the wind was a bit raw at times. We persevered with the fuds today and managed to draw a few geese in once more. This was our last session this year but already looking to more sessions next year. Luckily it`s not too many days away. We managed 5 greylag and 4 canada geese today. Great morning out and mine are done and in the freezer.
  15. Well done a good bag of rabbits there.
  16. Your not doing so bad on the pigeons just lately.
  17. That is a really good day out well done. Nothing like that number of pigeons round me yet.
  18. We were out after geese again this morning. Damp start but it dried up as we were unloading the gear. We set up with fuds and sillosocks today plus a goose on a floater. Not as many around as the other day so we must be doing what the farmer wants us to do. Which is keep the geese off his crops.. We ended the morning with a total bag of 11 geese and one mallard. It was a slow morning but i enjoyed the morning out.
  19. A good few geese were doing damage to the farmers corn so the fuds came out and i set up in the dark and knew the geese were about by the noise they made. I shot today and had a total bag of 19 geese though only 17 in the photo. Only one Canada was shot all the rest were Greylags.
