Only if your pushing it and loose it in the first place Paul, you shouldn't be in a situation where you locking your wheels up in the first place IMO.. There's an art to driving in the snow, low gear, no sharp breaking or acceleration, slow down well before the bend.. My statement was about driving appropriately to the conditions, not trying to regain control once you've lost it, and I reckon I could bring a car to a stop in the snow quicker with a non ABS equipped car.. Few people can actually handle (not just drive..) a car these days in normal conditions, let alone in adverse ones..
