Italian infection is likely to be in the hundreds of thousands, just lack of testing is skewing numbers.

Surely it's a time now for philanthropy, all these millionaire celebs, actors etc have the chance to put their money into a fund that could actually do some good and help people out who are suffering job losses.
-
Apparently vitamin d is a big thing to suppress it as well.

Italys deaths are high probably because the virus is widespread throughout the country, as it probably is in uk. Lots of people I know have said since around Christmas they have had a bad flu, I've had very mild symptoms after meeting and shaking hands with my next door neighbour who is an english teacher in wuhan and came back 6 days before wuhan was locked down so who knows, especially with very limited testing.

Jesus lol. There are times to harden your heart. This really isnt one of them. There will be plenty of essentials to go round. I'm in no way charitable in normal times but I'd gladly do my bit to help vulnerable people and offer my services if required. Even if it's just delivering food packages or whatever. The people who stoop to looting other struggling families or vulnerable members of society, along with the sorts of people who bulk buy nappies and sell them at inflated prices should have serious repercussions.

To be honest if I had a load of food hoarded and a desperate family with kids came begging theres no way I could not give them some. Obviously it's different story if it's a mob of asians or whatever but I cant honestly see it getting any where near civil unrest.

I think people need to check their hysteria levels and have a bit of faith. Theres been a lot of disaster porn recently and it seems lots of people are praying for a bit of unrest. It could be a good thing as it might make people value real things more, like growing some of their own food and looking after their and their families health. This can definitely be controlled with these measures but it will take a couple weeks to see the effect due to the incubation period and a vaccine is probably already well on the way in multiple countries ready for testing.

Be all digging for victory the way it's going lol.

Theres a link on top of this thread that highlights the 2 strategies that is worth a read. Looks like we are heading down mitigation route as opposed to suppression.

Best stats to look at is the diamond princess. A cruise ship full of old people, cant remember the infection and death rates but I'm sure they weren't anything to get hysterical over.

I think this has been doing the rounds for at least a couple of months, lad in my lads football team has had high temp and cough for 10 days, his mam was poorly with it few weeks back and so was his sister. His mam is a nurse and non of them have been tested or will be tested and she has been working the whole time. My lad the other night came down with a fever, very mild cough and sore throat for 48 hours and then gone so god knows if it was china flu or not, but without robust testing it's impossible to know the real impact. I'm still of the opinion that it's more widespread than reported an

The anxiety of not being able to paymortgages and utilities due to economic slow downs is worse than the anxiety of catching this china flu. If they put a stop on bills and mortgages people would be much more relaxed.

Could do with a world wide shut down for a month and get this knocked on the head along with potential other influenzas. I've read they are speculating that children are the reservoir but dont show symptoms so keeping people at home for a defined period could possibly work.

Italy stopped travel from china, their patient zero was a German business man who had recently been in China I believe? Their woke politicians where also encouraging Italians to hug a Chinese to avoid being labelled racist.

Could be related to anti government protests that were going on in hong Kong before coronavirus?

Peat used to be cut in Hatfield and crowle moors in Yorkshire until relatively recently. Nature reserves now I believe. -
I've seen 1 hour long coaching masterclass video on youtube mate, you've prompted me to watch some more when I get chance. Is that the sort of coaching you do?
-
There's a dutch documentary on youtube called how to be a man about woking fc in the conference that is worth a watch if interested in non league stuff.

Maybe he will fcuk them all to death.

Just because he is saying attacking cultural sites is on the table, doesn't mean he is going to hit them, he could just be being shrewd by letting them know in no uncertain terms that there are no red lines, and he can negotiate from there.

I know mate, shipyard at bev is all flooded out too, I usually fish around ticton up to eske for the perch. Decent chub in the drain up at hempholme though.

How can there be more than 2 originals? Surely every species has to go through that bottleneck?
