    You should be in control of the dog on or off the slip. If you aren't it isnt trained properly. Lamp lighting quarry-go,lamp off,back to you. Simple. If the dog doesnt do that then its not a lamp dog,its a point and shoot coursing dog thats not trained to the lamp properly. yet another know it all

    Always on the slip as you said poxon if they see somethin you dont want them to chase and they walkin free you got no chance of stoppin them, well i dont anyway

    My pup was a picky eater i wouldnt worry to much about it, they eat when they are hungry

    this is my 1st lurcher so im learning, and i did the wood thing at the entrance and she was jumping it but then it all fell to shit and she just wont jump now

    stella must be a popular name, i just happened to have a bottle of stella in my hand when we were thinking of a name. i used to have wood up at the door of the run and she used to clear it easy but i made the mistake of lifting her one night we were out and she's been lifted ever since. so yes taxi driver bad training but not an excuse

    Just wondered what everyones view on dogs jumping. Mines a lazy bitch and refuses to jump but i no she can because she has done before.

    Well said terryorr i go to these shows over the summer for a bit of crack and i dont take thick when my lurcher doesnt win, as you said shake the winners hand and enjoy the day.

    my 1st lurcher is a collie cross easy to train and good to work with. atb

    nice dogs mate do you kennel them together if so do you have any bother with the terrier my lurcher has small cuts over her legs and the only thing i can think thats doin it is the terrier
