  8. for me the above statement says it all, NO HIDING PLACE ON FENS, and there ain't, you might think you have a god dog until you get down there, it might even take a few trips down, but if there's any weakness it will show eventually, no one can pick every run and the hares some places down there are unreal, some places get that much stick off lads the hares are supernatural, Ive ran a fair few places around the uk Scotland etc however the blank days all come from fens other places there's always a kill or two to be had, to many like to use excuses about killing on smaller land, the obstacles et

  12. dan with the exception of red deer , there are dogs over here that took deer ( pre ban ) (keep myself right here) with ease . there was a line of lurcher we kept years ago (30) big dogs 28"-30" hare dogs . these animals would break off hares to go after deer , every time . and if they made contact once it was game over , no fecking about . the one thing that puzzles me is ,, the better deer dogs pissed about on teeth , whereas the lesser deer dog smashed the jaggy boys . strange ? very little saluki and no bull blood . just good big dog put to good big dog the 80s and 90s , everyone had th

  14. some (lines) get hammered hard , hence an injury or two . most dog lads have went through bad times with injuries and some dogs go that extra mile to get the job done and take a bump or two in doing so imo the slower types tend to stay more sound throughout a full season . still rather have the faster type
