i got a pair of protex boots from topkit this year and they seem to be a good all round lightweight boot ive had no problems yet and iam diggin 2-3 times a week

ive seen nearly everthing the uk has to offer inc big cats and wild boar but down here in somerset its real nice to see the otters making a comeback as for badgers you cant move for them counted 26 in one field the other night they are a right pest down here and the farmers hate them, we dont seem to see as many slow worms as we use to proberly got summit to do with this queer wheather and global warming

I know what you mean chaps my bedlingtons are bedlingtons and just that i currently have 2 x bedlingtons 2x lakelands and 2 x patterdales and 1 english bull lurcher. i had somebody around to look at the pups last night and you could see straight away they expected to see show style fluff balls so i just had to educate them as to what a proper bedlington was then showed them the door and quick , sod them let them go and buy a kc fluff ball. oh i nearly forgot congratulations jack 40,000 this has to be the most hits any topic on here has got and its still going, these forgotten breeds must b

Whens a bedlington terrier not a bedlington according to some silly tart in the pub my bedlingtons a dandie dimont and she know s whats she talking about as her old man has salukis ha ha. god what a augument we had its about time all proper bedlington owners started to promote real bedlingtons and not the ridgeback show crap everybody thinks are proper bedlingtons or do we rename them rothbury terriers????

I thought it might have a touch of lakland in it , i know what you mean by unnessesary punishment i had a laky bitch that only had one gear FORWARD it didnt matter what it was that dog would not back of this was her undoing. out for a walk with the missus and 2 terriers laky bitch and a parsons russell one saturday morning, nice safe place then of they shot down the hedge i ran after them as my 6th sense said this would be trouble and it was a nice new badger set and they were in there i tried to call the little baskets out but no chance phoned home and got the boy to bring the spades but ever

you will be ok bringing him on with small rats [pref captive] but dont let him hunt out big rats untill hes about 10 -12 months old if a big old rat gets him while he young it will put him off for life , you are better of getting a cage trap and catching young ones for him to play with. i start mine off at about 10 weeks with field mice in the bath as they cant jump out and the pups got them enclosed then we move on to young ratsat about 20 weeks and so on , DONT RUSH A PUP IF YOU START THEM TO EARLY YOU WILL RETIRE THEM EARLY TAKE YOU TIME . Read all the books you can then go out with somebody whose been doing it a fare while,, you will see what you need the best thing you will ever buy is a good locater, always buy the best you can afford as your dog should be priceless to you the b&f is supposed to be the best but i have never used one so i reserve comment i use a deben ferretfinder 3 but i had problems with the collars so i modifiyd them and they are ok now.

thanks lads , the bitch came from swansea and is rilligton lines and the dads is gould/middleton chocolate lakeland, the fathers about 5 now and has seen a lot of work the bitch is 2 and has done mostly fox and a bit of ratting shes a bit scared up under her chin and has quite a scare on her back leg but shes good at boltin foxes id love to know her secret but she soon has them out and running , the dad s a fighter and has plenty of scares on him and only half his nose you will always end up diggin to him he won t move and has killed underground a far few times

i have never put a picture o her before so fingers crossed this is the mother and she stands 13.5 inches also a couple of the pups

if anybodys interested i have a litter of bedlington x lakelands from good working stock there rillington xgould/middleton lines and my bedlington was brought as a pet but will work everything and does so at least twice a week she s a crackin little bitch but can be as hard as nails equal to any pat or laky just don`t go around advertising the fact.
