Well done conor i dig alot of foxes but this time of year iam shooting alot more as i don t want my dogs spooking any stock even though they are broke to stock. i have had some good pest control nights i remember one night a few years ago me and the girl went out with the 243 and 40 rounds about 10pm and we were back home at 1am ran out of ammo id made every shot count and we had 21 foxes and a lot of big ferrets but thats another story . this wasnt sport it was pest control and i make no excuses for it

cclean it well with neat dettol any flaps cut them off and cover well with germoline or savolon and if you have any amoxollin tablets about give the dog 1 a day for afew days that will sort it

well my bedlys a liver bitch a bit faded but a working bedlington not some roachback thing no good to man nor beast, that choclate pup from the litter is showing lots of promise its mental with crufts on this week it should be entertaining to see what there passing of as bedlington pampered pooches!!!! just looked at dodgewell bedlingtons GOD HELP US ALL what some awful looking examples some of the pic s look like they have been cut and pasted

buy the best you can afford, ihave a deben mk3 and it was ok spot on but the range was only about 8 foot max the worst thing about the mk3 was the collar its crap i modified mine but its still not good always tape it up, the b&f on the other hand takes a bit of getting use to but i have no complaints so far its been spot on and on big earths you can watch the dog moving around as i said buy the best you can afford

well we all know it goes on myself and chris hickling know of a lad at the portman who tryed to stitch everybody up but word got out and it was stopped but gorden mason lost out aswell as one of the pups in question was promised to him, enough said

[well timmy i would suggest you get yourself a bedly pup of good breeding [working lines] and bring it up with the kids you should have no problem then, i always encourage the kids to get involved with the dogs and take an interest in the working side, my daughter done a speech to the school on why hunting with dogs should not be banned, at the start 85% were in favour of the ban after her speech had educatded them only 15% still favoured the ban according to her head it was the best speech he had ever heard and it had changed his veiws on hunting, shes now studying law at bridgewater collage

you did right david with the sand soil etc you may have had a tunnel collapse if you had gone equipt for a dig now thats a different ball game you could have got to the dog quickly and that could have been the start of great things but personaly i would hold him back until 12-14 months but well done to the dog he s keen thats half the battle

timmy i have always found bedlingtons to be very good with kids, i ve got rillington bedlys and they have always been as good as gold but all my dogs have been ok as they have always had kids around them

as alaw abiding justice of the peace i can say that cats are classed as feral once they leave there property so if your dogs kill the cat on your property you have nothing to worry about, if they should kill it down the road or in the park then the cat owner could take civil action against you [very costly] but if they whing to the rspca the chances are they will fund the action. if nobody sees it happen then road kill is the answer if you place it right they would have a hard job proving anything. on a personal note shoot the thing no cat no problem

the best electric collar you will get is the dogtra one there a chap in stratford on avon sells them i think his name is john underwood its the nuts made i have had mine afew years now and its no trouble at all i used to have a PAC one but it was to big on terriers and not very good on range

cheap treadmill = take it to the shopping mall they got escalators get half way up then tie it off do your shoppin for hour then go back for your dog , better still go for along walk everyday and play football with the dogs that will get them fit
